I have stayed here more than 8 times on my frequent trips to Cusco. The staff is courteous, the location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. The price is an exceptional value. Rooms are clean, and showers are always hot! One word of warning, there is not an elevator, Of note, the hotel is... More

We were two couples staying here start of January -14. Perfect location approx 200 meters from Plaza de Armas. Steep stairs to second floor (mind the altitude). Small but clean rooms, many inwards. Lot of noise from corridors, stairs, staff and outside. Buffet breakfast on the level. We though think that you get what you pay for and the mean... More

I paid 60$ per day which would have been 90$ if I paid personally. You can hear what other people talk in your floor and we had bad luck with some 18 19 year old kids making a lot of noise at 4am. The tv signal is not good for some channels, the breakfast is decent with eggs and fresh... More

I was a little anxious about using this hotel after reading the reviews but glad that my experience was absolutely fine! Yes, I could whinge about some little bits and pieces but what is the point- it's cheap, perfect location, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are more than adequate and clean and I felt safe during... location is great close to the Plaza. Unfortunately the hotel could improve on a few things. Stayed a total of two nights. Both mornings we got woken up by a staff member vacuuming just outside our bedrooms. I dont understand how this couldnt wait until later. Breakfast could also use some improvement.

The hotel has excellent location, but they could improve facilities as well as the quality of breakfast and service. The staff is not enough for all the required services. I think the hotel should take advantage of the location and improve the rooms with modern decoration, towels, rugs, etc. Facilities are pretty old and towels are terrible, really, really old... More

Before to go Machu Picchu we have to stop in Cuzco city, also we been here before and after our main destination. We found this place per travel agent suggest, these are nearby to main plaza and some interesting museum. All those in hotel favors; against are into place; nothing personal, but someone who do not help as well into... More

Arrived late in Cusco from Inca Trail and tried to book into my choice hotel, however no room. They kindly called a few hotels in area and Hotel Emperador Plaza had a room available. Was told I could stay two nights. Checked in and went up to room to shower.... no hot water. Got into bed and was kept awake... More

This was a good hotel overall. I was staying as part of a group tour and managed to sample 3 rooms in total. The first was a small double room, there was only just enough room to move round the bed, but I wasn't in there much so I didn't mind. The bathroom was a better size and adequate. The... More

Stayed here a total of four nights as part of a group tour. Our room was small and in need of decoration, with peeling paint etc. The blankets on the bed and the carpet were old and in need of cleaning. We returned mid stay to the usual strip across the toilet saying "This toilet has been sanitised" but when... More
