We stayed four nights in the Tika Wasi, and it came to feel like home in a totally strange city. To begin with, all the staff went above and beyond to anticipate our needs. They kindly weighed our duffels for us (twice:) before we hiked the Inca Trail. They also safely stored our luggage for us while we trekked. Our... More

The first thing I liked about this place was the service: people are really nice here, and the place is well kept, and breakfats is ok. The negatives: cold. Not only the rooms are cold nights, but the common areas are freezing. Still recovering from a cold caught working from the TV room. This takes me to another negative: there... More

Clean, comfortable, safe, quiet, reasonably priced. The staff were very nice. Good breakfast. Always hot water for tea in the lobby (free tea). Free airport shuttle, set it up 3 days in advance. Seemly normal in Cusco, the reception area and hallways are open-air. Small courtyard is pretty and relaxing. Built into the hill, so funky steps, hallways, and room... More

What an incredible surprise! This hotel was recommended by a fellow travel who has spent a lot of time in Cuzco, Peru. I booked a room for 3 days on faith! Oh my, how delighted I was when I arrived! The room was simple, immaculate, cozy and a fantastic view of Cuzco! And best of all, it was a fraction... More

We stayed at the Tika Wasi hostal for two nights and found this to be a lovely charming boutique. The hostal is top of the hill so is a short walk from the main square. Rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. There are loads of seating area around the hostal, there is even a lovely fire there. Breakfast on... More

Quaint little hotel in San Blas area of Cuzco. This is not a hostel but a small boutique hotel. I stayed in the Railroad room. Breakfast is included which is always a plus for a quick bite before hitting the sights. It's an easy walk to the main plaza. Hot showers and a comfortable bed. Would stay here again.

Upon arriving, such hospitality! Check in was a breeze and the receptionist very informative. Our triple room was beautiful with a great bathroom (nice water pressure) and a small patio with table for relaxing. Super comfy beds and a heater to take the edge off the cold nights. The courtyard is clean and full of colors. There are many seating... More

Such a comfortable boutique hostal in San Blas area of Cusco. Staff is so friendly and considerate - muchas gracias! Superior rooms have beautiful views overlooking Cusco. In September, it was chilly at night, but fine with the provided space heater. Bathrooms were clean and modern, hot water on demand. Sacsayhuaman Ruins, Plaza de Armas, and loads of restaurants/shops are... More

This little boutique hotel (I won't call it a hostal) was one of the best I've ever booked, the staff was very welcoming and really concerned about me and my health, this because it is known that when you visit Cuzco you may suffer from altitude sickness. They receive you with coca tea, and insisted to take your luggage to... More

I stayed at Tika Wasi several nights before and after trips away from Cusco. It is located about a 10 minute walk to the main Plaza de Armas with lots of small restaurants and markets around, but less noise than the main square. Smaller cars can go right to the door, but larger vehicles cannot so be aware that you... More
