It is one of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever being, but it is really expensive. The restaurant is excelent but is extremely expensive, the food is ok, I prefer ten´s of other restaurants in terms of food quality and price. You will pay aprox US$80 per person for an OK food. not fo me!

This was a gorgeous hotel. The location is ideal-- you can walk to so many places. The place itself is historic, and beautifully maintained and promoted. Every room is different. Our room was capable of comfortably sleeping three people. The original murals on the wall added romance, and the practicality of the wooden shutters to the windows maintained the romance... More

Cuzco is a city that you can enjoy on a shoostring budget but if you are willing to splurge then this is the hotel for you. With its old colonial charm and stunning central courtyard where you listen to chants and have your afternoon tea, Monasterio transports you to another time and place. Its a beautiful hotel in a rich... More

We spent 4 nights here in May en route to Machu Picchu. The service is exceptional, the breakfasts superb, and the amenities in this restored old monastery first class . The location is very central, just a short stroll to the Grand Plaza, local restaurants and shopping . Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Monasterio in April 2013 during our visit to Cusco. The hotel was lovely, a peaceful and beautiful haven from the chaotic bustle of Cusco. The room itself was large and well appointed, the bathroom was lovely. The breakfast buffet was superb and the best we had on our four week trip. We upgraded to a room... More

The Monasterio's breakfast is fantastic! Delicious and unique breads and pastries with unthinkable flavors, such as cactus fruit jam. Plenty of fruit and cereals, the french toast cooked to order are delicious. And the best cappuccino I've had in Cusco with a lovely courtyard, made my morning so special!

We liked Hotel Monasterio. It was a little bit creepy in my opinion sleeping in a former monastery, but it was beautiful and centrally located. The was a little chapel for prayers, and plenty of choices for breakfast. The courtyard was beautifully landscaped, and even though the rooms are a bit plain they are comfortable.

We spent a total of 6 nights at the Monasterio (4 nights before our Mountain Lodges of Peru Salkantay hike and 2 after) and loved every minute. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and well appointed, and the breakfast, included with our room, was fantastic. There was a wide range of options including a full buffet of exceptional... More

This place is just wonderful. We've been here for two nights in Cusco. It was truly a monastery at one time and even has it's own chapel with incredibly ornate decorations. The center of the hotel has a beautifully landscaped courtyard and while the rooms aren't large, they are very comfortable and well appointed. We even have a patio with... More

We arrived late at night after a great journey on the Hiram Bingham express. We were only really able to appreciate the beauty of this hotel the next morning when the sun streamed into the courtyard.
