This is a great hotel in a top location. The staff are all helpfull and pleasant, which puts the icing on a totally pleasing stay. The rooms are roomy and well appointed, the food very good ( breakfast especially) Our stay was for three nights and all agree it was one of the best hotels in our three week Peru... more

We spent three nights in the Libertador, however, they were not consecutive. The first night my husband and I slept in what my husband proclaimed was the worst bed he’d ever experienced. I didn’t find the bed much better than he did, but my problem involved the plumbing. We could not get any water in the shower the next morning.... more

I decided to stay a few extra days and booked the Libertador after finishing a spiritual retreat in the Sacred Valley. Let me tell you: nothing felt more spiritual to me than sleeping in this former Inca site. I felt at one with time, and the energy from the ancient stones flowed through me. It was a refreshing atmosphere, well-decorated,... more

We stayed at the Libertador twice during our visit to the Cusco area. The first room we had was in the historic section of the hotel. It was huge with a giant dressing area and very large bathroom. It had two balconies on the street at the back of the hotel. There was a lot of traffic on the street... more

After several trips to Lima, finallye decided to get to know Cusco and MachuPicchu. My Peruvian partners told me about Monasterio and Libertador as the best options, but the idea of sleeping on an ancient monastery just isn't my style of vacation..so I stayed at Libertador, an excellent hotel for the rate, strategically located in the center of the histric... more

After getting off a rather glum Norwegian cruise ship, my expectations for the Cuzco excursion were low-- but this wonderful hotel made my whole trip so much better. Do not be fooled by the lowly exterior photos. It has very very nice inside lobby and public areas. The dining is excellent.. the rooms are OK-- defintiely large and clean. I... more

We stayed for 3 nights during a Lima / Cusco / Machu Picchu trip in May 2009. The hotel is beautiful; you feel as though you are in a museum. The staff was excellent. The room we had faced a wall (literally) and we had no view, but it was very clean. it is located only a 5-10 walk from... more

This is a great property in a wonderful location for walking the streets of Cusco. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable. The service was awesome and the breakfast buffet was one of the best. It is pricey but the treatment is first class. The building is artwork itself and it is filled with beautiful artwork. more

We spent three nights at the Libertador hotel. We chose the hotel because we wanted a full service hotel that was centrally located. We also did not want to pay the rates at the Monasterio. The hotel itself is very large with 250 rooms spread out over four floors. At the center of the hotel is a colonial era courtyard.... more

My husband and I stayed at the Libertador for a total of seven nights - four prior to going to Macchu Picchu and three following our return. Each stay was PERFECT! THE SERVICE AT THIS HOTEL IS STELLAR - everyone associated with the property is a warm and courteous professional. The front staff makes the check-in quick and easy -... more
