We booked a trip to Machu Picchu & Galapagos thru Smartours, and they chose this hotel for our short stay in Cuzco. It was exactly what you'd expect from a good chain hotel. Rooms were good size, beds were comfortable, buffet breakfasts were good & plentiful. Good location -- easy walk to tourist sites, restaurants & shopping.

Novotel was used as our starting tour hotel - but we decided to come earlier to acclimate to the elevation - and decided to just extend our stay here. This hotel is very charming & the staff very accommodating. We were greeted with the local tea (used for elevation) - as we sat in the courtyard and the staff brought... More

I have found the staff very helpful and friendly. Nice rooms and lovely meals. Very central and walking distance to central city and activities The lovely courtyard is inviting and they also offer extra oxegyn; because of the hight of 12000 feet. It is near the old center churches and even a Starbucks

We stayed in one of the modern rooms and although there wasn't much of a view from our room it was quiet and after hiking the Lares Trek it was great to have some quiet and a great shower! The room with double beds was perfect for the two of us traveling together..although it was my friend and I we... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this Novotel a total of 5 nights. The location was great for access to Plaza de Arms and many restaurants. The rooms were clean. The washroom offered both 220V and 110V plugs. The breakfast buffet, which is included, offered a great selection. Free wi fi was available in every room (as opposed to just... More

A really good base for exploring Cusco. The rooms are nicely furnished and wifi is available. Lovely food in the pretty courtyard restaurant. I was lucky enough to walk out the hotel as a childrens parade went past.

Thought of Novotel and a cousin of Sofitel - now must say it's a very distant cousin. While the center courtyard is lovely, the rooms are modern, IKEA-like and with "3 star" bathrooms. Very clean, however. Good breakfast choices. Staff friendly, but not too helpful.

We spent almost a week here and we had better and worse moments (we booked 4 rooms). I will try to divide my opinion into pros and cons to make it easier for the reader: PROS: Location! Very close to Plaza de Armas (the most important landmark in the city). The food and the architecture are very good. Colonial rooms... More

We spent two nights in a colonial room at the Novotel in Cusco and we enjoyed being there very much. The hotel is located on a cobblestone street with lots of small boutiques that we visited on our way to the Plaza des Armas. It is a refurbished antique Spanish villa in a historic part of Cusco. It was wonderful... More
