The hotel rooms are very small and we never had a window to look out of and the rooom was very noisy at night- people ringing the door bell late at night and you can hear people talking from the lounge downstairs.Would not stay here again and also did not enjoy Cusco - very touristy.

We stayed here for 1 night and thankful we did as didn't enjoy it. The room was smelly (especially the bathroom which smelt of sewage). Rooms were very basic and small. Breakfast was ok.....better than we had experienced in other places. Location was right on the square which is great but guess it could be noisy in some rooms if... More

The two rooms (suites) overlooking the Plaza have fantastic views and are large, however decor is very tired and cleanliness is not the best. The plaza can be very noisy at night! Breakfast was good. Unfortunately we had a problem with the hotel administration … I have Peruvian and Australian citizenship and have been living in Australia for the last... More

This was the second hotel we stayed at in Cusco. The location can't be beat, right on Plaza de Armas. It had clean rooms, provided two bottled waters, and toiletries. They had a good a breakfast and also offered coca tea in the lobby. They also bagged our breakfast when we had an early flight departure. The receptionists were very... More

I booked a suite through TA and Expedia, so I got it for a reduced price and it was well worth it. It consisted of the bed area which was near the window, so I could see the church when lying in bed. An area with a couch and an arm chair and a large bathroom. The room overlooked the... More

El Virrey is noted for its location on the largest square in the historic center. It is very safe and easy to sightsee from. I had a basic no frills room with small private bath that is modernized. The plug in heater does the job of heating up the small room I was in on the second floor, at the... More

We splurged for the suite, a huge room with a balcony overlooking the Plaza de Armas. It was awesome to sit out there with a water or beer and watch people. On Sundays, they have a big military / civic demonstration / march. And there are always lots of tourists and locals walking around. I don't know the extent of... More

In the middle of the Plaza d'Armas in Cuzco facing the Basilica, that is the only positive comment I will make about this hotel. The staff barely speaks English, not good when most of your business is with tourists. The rooms were renovated in the 70s, noisy, small and uncomfortable! The rug on the main stairway look like it was... More

Highly recommend this boutique hostel if you are going to Cusco. Location, price and service were very excellent. Location: is right in the Plaza de Armas. Since we got there the hosts Reynaldo and Darwin were very accommodating. It felt like home and I will definitely go back!

This hotel is convenient and affordable. Central to everything. Comfortable beds, and helpful staff. Pretty good for the price or around $81US a night for two people. Breakfast is good, with a reasonable amount of variety
