The staff here was extremely friendly. They brought up some tea when we checked in, and we needed it after climbing up the stairs in that altitude. The rooms are basically appointed, but we were comfortable. The breakfast offered every morning was very nice--with a variety of fresh fruits, juices, breads, and some hot options everyday that we were there.... More

I was impressed with my experience. You aren't paying for a 5 star hotel. Very clean rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly. When my father and I returned from our trek they had our bags already setup in our rooms. Water was always hot. Only a few blocks from the main square.

I was traveling with a friend and the staff here were very accommodating. Our plans changed and they accommodated us-no problems, no charges. The staff held our big luggage while we overnighted in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu), so we only had to take what was necessary to MP. The staff greeted/acknowledged us every time we saw them. Our room was... More

I don't understand all the great reviews this hotel is getting. My experience was not good at all. First off, when we checked in as a married couple, we were given a twin room, although we booked a double. We asked to change and were put in another twin room with one bed slightly bigger, just enough to fit two,... More

Really helpful staff. They serve you coca tea upon arrive while you check in to help with the elevation. They even let us stash our big suitcases there for free while we went on a 5 day trek. On top of that, rooms were very clean. Definitely on the small side by North American standards but ours had plenty of... More

The hotel is simple, but nice. The room is spacious and with a good wi-fi signal. The breakfast is simple, but tusty. The staff is simpatic and the hotel is well located. Summarizing, the hotel is simples but is excellent cost-benefit with a small price, comfortable bed and good internet.

This hotel was an excellent find and well worth the low price. The bathrooms are a little tired and do need a bit of sprucing up but on the whole you won't be disappointed here if you're not expecting The Ritz. Breakfast wasn't too exciting but was sufficient enough to hold up until lunchtime. The staff was helpful when extending... More

The hot water doesn't work, and all you want after a cold day out is hot water and a good night's sleep. The windows don't face out but onto the corridor that the rooms are on making it noisy and not very quiet. It also has a musty strange smell as the windows are never opened

Very helpful organising a very last minute booking. Clean rooms and bathroom but with hot water only in the mornings. Nice breakfast and good wifi in communal areas. The staff were incredibly helpful at sorting out an English speaking doctor for me to speak to on the phone and then organising a taxi to take me to the hospital and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights (then did the 4d Inca Trek) followed by one more night. Antawasi was an excellent choice for the price we paid. Room are small but it has all the amenities we needed (we travel frugally but aren't hostel people). Location: It's on a small street but still around 10 minutes from Plaza de Armas.... More
