We arrived mid day from a 21hr bus ride from Lima and I was greeted by my first name! Now there's a first time and I was very happy and maybe because they were expecting us. We were showed to our room which was located on the 2nd floor. Heater was a plus since it was already cold when we... More

I had such a positive experience with Unumizu! The hotel is a small operation all run by the family. They were never too busy to help with anything I needed, and were sure to take time to help with any needs or concerns. I needed my train ticket printed for the following day, and their printer was not working, but... More

We stayed here for two nights before our Machu Picchu trek and overall was a good experience. As others have noted it is in an odd neighbourhood but was only a 10-15 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas so not a huge deal. The staff was friendly, rooms clean, fine breakfast, and we had laundry done for a very... More

Agree with other reviews; nice staff, weird neighborhood. Even though it is located as previous reviewers pointed out in a neighborhood filled with auto part stores it really isn't far from many of the main sites. We actually walked and it was easy and safe. -They provided complimentary pickup from the airport, but on return we were charged. - Not... More

I have to say we had a great experience in all the hotels we stayed in Peru ! and Unumizu was no exception ! As we were travelling to Ollantaythambo - they allowed us to park our luggage here where we were to stay on our way back and were so helpful about the whole thing ... Quite accessible to... More

This hotel is about 15 mins walk to the the plaza but it has nice, interesting places nearby. Simple room, clean bathroom, heater. Super attentive staff! Nice view for breakfast. They close the front shutter at night so you have to ring the bell to get in.

We were very happy with our stay there. Hot water, modern rooms, comfortable duvet, nice breakfast, and top personnel. We arrived at 5am in the morning from Cusco and they let us in the room directly.

My friend and I stayed here right after Machu Pucchi. It was not as aesthetically nice as all the others but it was average. What makes this place stands out like all the other reviews is the customer service. The place is clean, simple room, with flat screen TV and bottle waters on the first night. I love the breakfast... I haven't found service of this level in any country, in any facet, whatsoever. The customer service by this family-owned hotel was utterly outstanding. The first morning we slept in, and we received a phone call at 9 am (when breakfast ends). The staff member noted no one from our room had eaten breakfast yet, and wondered if anyone wanted... More

I stayed here four nights with two friends, and then one night by myself. I am astounded at the lengths that the owners and employees go to make sure your (our) stay is enjoyable. -helping with directions -helping with laundry -helping with local recommendations and routes -arranging taxi and services -calling to make sure we didn't want breakfast before putting...
