Unumizu does everything right from the smiling and helpful personnel to the clean rooms and comfortable bedding. The location is not where everything is going on but in an automotive supply area. You are with the Peruvians, not with other tourists. The people at the desk will be happy to call a cab for you so you can go to... More

The Hotel Unumizu staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is simple, but clean and well maintained. It is in a quiet location about 0.75 miles from the Plaza de Armas. It was a comfortable walk between the hotel and downtown attraction. Hotel Unumizu was a great value. It was everything that we hoped for.

First, if you want to step out the door and be in the tourist section, this place is NOT for you. If you don't mind a 15-minute walk or $1.60 cab ride and/or if you like seeing a safe part of Cuzco where locals live, work and attend school (as I do), then this is a great choice. At $50... More

We chose this hotel based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and great price. We stayed for five nights during the 2014 Easter holiday, and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Unumizu. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the interior of the hotel was quite aesthetically pleasing. It was an easy walk to the more touristy parts of town,... More

As always, I picked this place because of the good reviews on TA. True enough, the lobby displayed a TA plaque that it was the 2013 winner. The staff and room indeed were very welcoming, the beds look so clean and comfy with pillows and blankets that seem to be new. It does not have a minibar or safe, nor... More

A warm welcome at hotel recepcion desk. Useful hotel staff. Clean and space room. Interesting breakfast service. Albeit outside city centre the distance is not problem. Very interesting proposal for the price you pay.

My friend and I only stayed here for one day, but the staff made an excellent impression. Were extremely helpful with directions to a few different places we wanted to visit. Would call a cab driver for us when we wanted to go somewhere further away. The room was comfortable and bathroom clean. The staff made us a lovely breakfast... More

This review is a bit out of date as we were actually there a year ago (in 2012), but if all owners are the same and judging by the still positive reviews, nothing has changed. This family owned, value hotel in cusco could not have been a better situation. For a young, professional couple who is past their days of... More

We stayed here for 3 nights before our Inca Trail hike and 1 night after the hike. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They always went out of their way to help us. I highly recommend this hotel!

US traveler here who trekked to Machu Picchu. I stayed at this hotel for 2 days before my trek and 1 night after. This hotel is excellent and an incredible value. The rooms are comfortable especially the beds. There are hot showers which was amazing to take after the inca trail. The hotel was very flexible with checkout times and... More

Unumizu Cusco Hotel, with our strategic location and close proximity to the Center of the city of Cusco. Enjoy the best hospitality and quality service in Unumizu Cusco Hotel. Our name, Unumizu, means ‘water’ in the native Andean language Quechua (unu) and in Japanese (mizu). It signifies the convergence of two cultures, the Inca and the Orient, and the tenacity of preserving the environment. Unumizu is a concept that allows us to put into practice our vision of sharing and preserving the Inca and Peruvian cultures while sustaining tourism and a great respect for our natural environment. All of these are expressed with water, Unumizu, one of the essential elements of life. ... more   less
