I stayed at this hotel for a night upon my arrival in Cuzco. The place is cute I really liked it. Room was spacious. It was freezing cold but they did provide a heater. It's a short walk to the main plaza ( around 10 min) staff are friendly. breakfast is great. The issue I had with them was that... More

This small hotel has lovely rooms and baths. It is nicely laid out around a small courtyard. It is about 3 blocks from Cusco's Plaza Mayor. The only drawback is that it is an uphill walk from that plaza. Admittedly, the hill is much more gradual than many in the city but IF you have any difficulty with the lack... More

We used this hotel as our home base from which we traveled to several cities in the Sacred Valley area. We were always happy to return to the Tierra Viva Saphi as it was by far the best hotel of our stay. Clean, comfortable, and well appointed rooms. Great location. Good breakfast with fresh fruit, breads, and a few hot... More

So, this hotel is a short walk to the main plaza and it's down a road that is a little iffy. The first night I thought "what did I get myself into" but, after that, it felt safe. There are often street vendors along the street at night, so there is traffic. About a block toward the main plaza is... More

We normally wouldn't spend too much time in the hotel when travelling, but after Machu Pichu, we never wanted to leave this place! Staff were helpful in organising much needed laundry service, although didn't seem to be very well informed about transport options. There was also a small mixup on our arrival transfer, but staff were courteous enough that it... More

What a way to spend the last days of our trip to Peru. Tierra Viva, was comfortable, well positioned and quiet. A short walk to the main restaurants, cafes and shopping. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, shower hot and powerful !! Staff were more than helpful and for the region the ideal of breakfast starting at 5am, handy when... More

The hotel is within a couple minute walk from the main square, so it is very convenient, but in a quieter area. It is just as pictured in the websites and other traveler reviews. We had three rooms for a family with adult children and all of the rooms were very clean, the big, king sized beds comfortable, and the... More

My husband and I traveled with my father-in-law through Peru in March 2015. We booked value hotels that were clean, quiet, safe and easy walking distance to points of interest. Of the four hotels of our 8-day trip, this was my second favorite (only the Atton in Lima exceeded this one, though it was less charming). We booked a single... More

I stayed at this hotel for several nights and cannot fault it. The room was excellent, with a lovely huge bed, very clean and spacious shower room. If I came back after dark, my room lights were switched on, heater on to warm up the room, shutters closed, bed turned back and a complimentary mint on the pillow. Such a... More

Quiet, clean, safe with very good staff who are pleasant and attentive. They really go out of their way to be helpful. It is a tiny bit far from the hot spot plaza Des armas, but not terrible. Good value for your money and a decent breakfast to boot!
