We stayed 2 nights before Inka Trail and a night after. Excellent location, friendly service, good hot water pressure, very friendly reception - helped with some airline ticket issues, printed our boarding passes, etc. On the last night we were late to check in because of train delay from Cuzco, and they let us spend the last night in the... Three of us stayed here for 6 nights. The rooms were attractive, spotless, and well-appointed (thank you for the space heaters), as were the public areas (lounges and breakfast room. All the staff members were gracious and knowledgeable. The location -- a few steps off the Plaza de Armas -- is excellent: close to the square, but just enough away... More

I an up at 2:30 am unable to sleep despite earplugs , heavy panels over windows, oh and a hat on my head. I am on the back of the hotel which backs up to another street which is host to a all night rave nightclub. I have seen maybe four people in the two days I have been here... More

I would hands down stay here again. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They wanted to help you in any way possible. You are 20 steps away from the main plaza which has so many different restraunts, bars, clubs, shopping you name it plus beautiful surroundings. The breakfast at the hotel was yummy :). If you can... We stayed for three nights and found the hotel very friendly, comfortable and in the perfect location just yards from the Plaze de Armas. On arrival our taxi driver backed all the way down the narrow street to get the door which was a little surprising, but all the celebrations in the main square had blocked the bottom of the... More

We stayed for two nights and this hotel was perfect for us. It is located just steps from Plaza de Armas, the staff is great and helped us with all our needs and questions (thanks for the coca tea when we got in, the altitude was killing us!), our room was a triple and it had a perfect size, everything... Tierra Viva Cuzco Plaza is located just of Plaza de Armas, in a relatively quiet street. So central to everything. It is in an old building with a great deal of character, but with comfortable modern furnishings. One of the greatest strengths of the hotel is its staff, for whom nothing was ever too much trouble. They took care of... More

I wrote to them asking for a reservation for four nights for next April. My wife is a very light sleeper and I asked for a room not on the street, we needed a quiet room. The girl in reservations, Adriana Susuqui, wrote me back saying they could not guarantee such a room. In essence take your chances. See actually... More

My partner and I had a great stay at this hotel. Very comfortable hotel, we spent a lot of time getting used to the altitude by staying in our room and it was a very comfortable room. Only stayed here 1 night as passing back through Cusco, but was very pleasantly surprised at the quality given the reasonable price. Room was very nice, large, comfortable bed, good linens, excellent bathroom and shower. Only complaint might be that it feels more like a standard hotel and a little less unique. Excellent location, but noisy at night because next... More
