We stayed in Tambo del Arriero on our trip to Peru in February and loved it. It was cozy, spacious high quality of rooms. The hotel service was very friendly, one person from our group got sick second day - they were so nice that they checked on him during our absence (as we had whole day excursion). Breakfast was... We stayed at the Tambo del Arriero for our first two nights in Cusco and loved it. It is probably one of the prettiest hotels I have ever stayed in; the décor and colours are beautiful and the furniture elegant. The central courtyard is full of character. The location of the hotel is good, about a ten minute walk to... More

We stayed here 3 nights in Cusco. The location is good -- and bit of a stroll to the main square and restaurants, etc... -- and the property itself is lovely. Breakfast was great. Staff was helpful enough, and we were allowed to store bags when checking out and going to Machupicchu (there are very restrictive size limitations for bags... More

The staff is friendly and helpful. They will hold your bags if you check out and are traveling to Machu Picchu like we did (since the train has a baggage restriction). The bathrooms are very clean and maintained nicely. However, the rooms 101-104 (and assuming the upper floor the same) which are located in the main courtyard are very loud.... More

We spent two nights in Tambo del Arriero and we had an excellent stay. The room was lovely, clean and big. Nice breakfast. The people working at the hotel were very friendly and helped us organizing transportation through the Sacred valley. Good location as well!

Beautiful building, a good walk from the main plaza. Loved the decor and the colors. The room interiors were nice and spacious. Bathrooms were updated and great, but there was no bath "room", just a corner of the room itself. Fine for a coupole, not so good for friends traveling together. Originally got a room in the back and could... More

Beautifully redone old building. Very comfortable, elegant decoration. Very nice and helpful staff, especially the ladies and cleaning personnel. The breakfast is really nice! We had 2 rooms there, one for my wife and I, the other for our 3 children. We split our stay with a trip to Machu Picchu. On the return, we asked to be in the... More

The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. They helped us arrange a (very good value) taxi tour of Sacred Valley sites, provided breakfast at crazy o'clock and looked after our luggage while we went on the Inca Trail. Doris was great at looking after us and our room. The room was at the back and was large, quiet and superbly... More

The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The service was first class. Very friendly and accommodating. Our kids (10&8) made themselves at home. Breakfast is included and very good. Great fresh fruits. The room we had was amazing. Huge, loft on the second floor.

I stayed several days in Cuzco prior to a motorcycle tour and after having stayed at several Cuzco hotels in days past I can say this was of the best for the price. As a well traveled North American I found it to have all the best in comfortable beds, large shower bath area, flat screen tv, and service. The... More
