This hotel based on the Ninos foundation concept is a MUST for all visitors to Cusco. The atmosphere is home from home; the mainly female staff are helpful and friendly; the food in their restaurant is wholesome and tasty; the rooms are tastefully furnished in a minimalistic style (a bit cold but there is a heater), the location is relatively... Overall an OK place, but probably wouldn't recommend Ninos to others. Be prepared to get woken up by around 4 or 5am every day because of noise from staffers, early riser guests, doorbell ringing, and street traffic echoing through the courtyard and under the thin wooden doors. Rooms get cold at night and the space heater in our room didn't... More

Good rooms. Good staff and most important good coffee and food. Nice place as base for cusco and surrounding areas. Was more expensive then other places but felt safe and where very helpfull with taxis or busses.

After a recommendation from a friend back in Australia my two travel companions and I checked into Niños Hotel for the two nights leading up to our Machu Picchu trek. We absolutely loved it. As there's three of us sometimes it's cheaper to get a hotel room than stay in a hostel - Niños was a bit of a splurge... More

We decided to spend our christmas money on a good cause. Ninos hotel is normally a bit above our backpackers budget but for once we stepped up a little. We were very happy with the people who work here. Helpful in many ways, but a major flaw of the staff was that they were very loud in the early morning.... More

We stayed in a 3-person room for 3 enjoyable nights and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. The building itself is a nicely renovated, historic building with interesting art and nice décor. It has a large, open courtyard that is great for relaxing or reading thru one of the many books they have on a shelf in the café.... More

Although highly recommended and in principle a nice place a lot of essentials were missing. We had a reservation for nearly a week, nevertheless they put as in the last room in the backyard with stinking waste for the first three days. The upper rooms in the main court yard are much nicer and more welcoming. But basics are missing:... More

We loved this beautiful hotel in Cusco, the inspiring story and great ongoing work the owners do with local kids were a bonus! A beautifully appointed room with comfortable bed and reliable hot-water (not always a given in Cusco). Fantastic little Cafe serving up delicious coffee and meals. Location not perfect but only a short walk (10 mins) to the... More

Stayed at Hotel Ninos in Melloc and Fierro. Staff did what they needed to do but was not very welcoming. Fierro is a block away from Melloc which we thought was near, and it was not especially after a 4 day hike. Melloc's location is ideal and is within walking distance from the town center. On the way to Fierro,... More

This converted home to hotel is built around one comfy outdoor courtyard with chairs and WiFi and another that opens on to the school. Rooms overlook both of the courtyards, and on schooldays the youngsters come quietly into their classrooms, assessing the visitors and giggling when we wave. The young staff is amazingly helpful, and the dining room which is... More
