Hotel was last stop before airport next morning. Most rooms are towards the plaza and we got NO REST AT ALL. Cusco was so loud all night long with cars honking, music blasting, dogs barking, drunks shouting, at 3 am I finally fell asleep and at 4 am my alarm clock went off to get to airport. 65 bucks not... We had a triple room for the 2 of us, on the 3rd floor facing the back. The room had 3 twin beds and nightstands, with no other storage but space to keep luggage on the floor. The bathroom was tiny, but it did the job. Shower was adequate and had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was ok but not... More

Hotel Villa Mayor is build in a colonial house one block from main Plaza de Armas in Cusco. Rooms have colonial style and a central courtyard. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of natural juices, bread and egs. Staff is friendy and can help you taking your taxi back to airport or bus station.

Horrible. Noisy (people in the next room might as well have been in my room!). I stayed in three different rooms--on the second floor, on the third floor. With windows facing the plaza, with windows facing inward. I really gave this place an honest chance. I had to "go away" to catch up on my sleep (I stayed here off... More

Used this hostal as a base to explore the Sacred Valley. It was a brilliant location close to many of the city sites especially the main squares, but was not noisy. The hostal had lots of character and antique pieces. The rooms were also characterful. We had an attic room with beams, high ceilings and lots of light. The beds... More

I stayed here 2 nights and leave my big backpack here to travel to Machu Piccu and when I came back I get back the same room facing the square and fountain. My room is with 1 double bed and 1 single bed when I'm d only one staying there. The fountains view is great. I like one of the... More

Ok... So I stayed here three nights - one night with a room overlooking the square and the other overlooking the interior courtyard... The good: bed was fairly comfortable, there was hot water, fairly clean, safe. The bad: very noisy because of indor an outdoor traffic, the cafe attached where you have breakfast has bad service and you get haggled... More

Clean, basic, and great location. For $60US per night (including airport transfer and continental breakfast for 3 ppl) this is a great deal. The room: A little noisy at night. You can hear the bass drum from the nightclub even in the front of the building, but it didn't bother us. We wanted to be in the thick of everything.... More

Although the staff were great, location close to the main Square in Cusco, and the place was friendly and homely, don't stay here if you have any intention of sleeping!! The front faces one of the busy squares in Cusco so traffic noise can be a bit intrusive. The back however backs on to the loudest night club in Cusco.... More

We've spent 3 nights in this gorgeous hostel, located in city center. We've paid just 30$ per night (for a couple!). It's located in Plaza Regocijo in the historic part of Cusco, surrounded by colonial buildings, cathedrals, restaurants, stores, pubs and more. The hostle's situated in a colonial Spanish-like building, with a beautiful patio in the center. Rooms were cozy and... More
