Pariwana was really a great hostel in all aspects. Location: Location is great. Cuzco is a small city, but Pariwana is right in the middle of the historic city, walking distance to the main square (5 min walk). The building itself is a beautiful colonial house. Room: The room is good and clean, with a large and comfy bed, clean... More

This was a great hostel for the price! Located right in downtown Cusco, it provides walking access to everything you would want. You get your own wifi access, towels, etc. Rooms: Stayed in the private room with a private bathroom. It was great. The equivalent of staying in a hotel (with a cheaper price) with the perks of being in... More

Great hostel, beautiful central courtyard (think cobbles, beanbags, plug sockets and wifi), perfect location in Cuzco and relaxed vibe that invites both partying and chilling in equal measure. Good food at the bar, decent activities and spacious and clean rooms. It is a bit expensive compared to what you can find in Cuzco but I stayed at 3 different hostels... More

Been there only for one night but this was a great place! Room was clean and quiet around, the bar is great (though it was somewhat boring - it was sunday night plus they were inappropriately playing very boring songs from Radiohead and Coldplay). It's more costly than most hostels in Peru though. They got a pickup service but make... More

Everything you look for in a hostel you'll find it here, great location, beautiful architecture, clean comfy rooms and the restaurant has incredible variety at very affordable prices. It also offers activities like parties, sports and more.

I was glad to have been recommended this hostel. Set in a nice colonial building with a big courtyard, it is clean and comfortable with good facilities including some individual bathrooms and large lockers with an electrical socket. I arrived at 5am and they let me check in without paying for that night. The bar is great with good events/entertainment.... More

We had a great stay our first three nights in Cusco in a 6-person dorm with en suite bathroom. This hostel is clean, has great amenities, loads of coca tea, & very comfortable beds with TWO pillows! Food was great in the bar and we had a great time socializing while watching World Cup games. Atmosphere is fun and lively... More

Pariwana has everything you need. I stayed with my cousin and my friend in the days before we went off on the Salkantay trek. It's in a fairly central location, a few easy blocks from Plaza de Armas. The place is an old villa, centered around a courtyard filled with comfy beanbags so people can sit and chill. There is... More

Great atmosphere, very lively and the hostel puts on events like poker and BBQ nights. The beds were clean and comfy and the staff were all very friendly. There are safe's in the room and in the reception. The included breakfast was nice but simple. The only bad thing I would say is that it's a tad too expensive for... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pariwana Hostel Cusco lies in a colonial house built in the 16th century. The beauty of our hostel can be compared to any 5-star hotel in the city of Cusco, but with the atmosphere and vibe of our guests and the Pariwana experience. The house has an internal patio surrounded by stone archways in both the first floor and in the balconies of the second floor. Our restaurant and bar-lounge are located in the same salons where Viceroys used to dine with the local nobility. It is said that there is a secret passage between the house and the closest convent. Supposedly, it was built by the last Viceroy, Abascal, as he new his days were counted. Pariwana Cusco is located in the heart of Cuzco’s Historical District: only 2 blocks away from the main plaza (Plaza de Armas). The hostel is surrounded by the typical Cuzco architecture and scenery. It is nearby several restaurants, drugstores and transportation facilities. ... more   less
