My wife and I stayed here 4 nights before going to Machu Picchu and 1 when we returned. We were picked up at the Airport on arrival. Rooms are spacious and clean and shower is hot and powerful. It is a 15 minute walk to the main square. Wifi is good and all staff are very helpful. We organised our... More

i've traveled a lot. a whole lot. El Tuco is one of the most positive "hostel" experiences of yet. the owners are beyond wonderful - warm, helpful and genuinely kind people. the rooms are well-kept, spotlessly clean and quiet. the building itself is old and charming, with creaky wooden floors, high ceilings and lovely decor. the showers are HOT and... We stayed here for five nights. Coco and his wife are really friendly and helpful. The room we had was very clean, bright and spacious. One downside was that the room overlooked an urban motorway, if you're a light sleeper you may need a room on the other side of the building - we were fine as we are used... More

This hostel is small, relaxed and friendly in a decent location 10 min walk from the Plaza del Armas with 2 supermarkets nearby. The area near the hostel isn't great but it isn't terribly bad either. The showers are piping hot and very powerful and the beds are really comfortable. Our double room (number 207) upstairs was really nice. The... More

Really hot water and great beds big rooms and coco the manager goes out of his way to help! This place was what we were after only a 10 minute walk to the main square with lots of shops on the way. With a shopping centre across the street and a kitchen available to use

This hotel was just amazing. Coco, the owner, speaks English very well and he and the other staff couldn't have been more friendly and hospitable. The only minor point is that the area around the hotel can turn a bit grim at night, but its proximity to the bus station makes up for this. Highly recommended.

We stayed 4 nights, Tuco and his wife were always very helpful. There seemed to be two rate structures, be sure to choose the right one for you. It is not in a "charming" location, but was fine if you don't mind walking 10 minutes to the plaza. Location is very convenient to the colectivos to Ollantaytambo.

We were very happy with this hostel. A pleasant walk 10-20 minute walk to Cusco's main sights passing a nice supermarket on the left and a view of one of the high snow peaked mountain on the right. Helpful with taxis, directions. Good breakfast and internet.

We ended up staying here longer than planned as the bus company we were meant to be travelling with had to cancel some buses due to a miner's strike. What a great place to have to stay longer in! We found the hostel was clean with big rooms, and plenty of blankets to help with the cooler temperatures at night.... More
