Stayed at El Tuco for a total of 5 nights with a visit to Machu Picchu inbetween and can not fault a single thing. Coco and his wife go above and beyond with their hospitality. With excellent English! Great free breakfast, and use of kitchen. And amazing hot showers. If we ever happen to be in Cusco again, we would... More

The warm and friendly staff at El Tucos, and especially Coco made my stay in Cusco very memorable. Coco is a great bloke and he is very helpful with information. The shower has strong pressure and a high hot temperature. I spent a total of 6 glorius nights in El Tucos Hostel! Three of those was spent recovering from sickness.... More

Walking distance to main square (10mins), very close to supermarkets and fruit stalls, seemed quite safe around even if it is on a bit of a chaotic street (was still quiet in our room), decent wifi. Main reasons to stay here are the staff and the showers! Best powerful hot showers we have had in our whole South America trip,... More

We spent 3 nights in a double room in El Tuco, and we loved it. The property itself is a tad removed from the Plaza De Armas, but no more than a 10 minute walk. The surrounding area might seem a little gritty, but it was super safe, and we were walking there all hours of the day/night (it's also... More

The staff at this place are VERY helpful. Sweet, and will arrange taxis or whatever you need. Rooms are OK, a little old, and our bathroom was leaking water everywhere. We only stayed for one night. Grocery stores are close by, but the streets are a little hard to walk along in this area.

El Tuco is relatively centrally located in Cusco, with the central square within walking distance. The room was comfortable, breakfast was OK (bread rolls, jam and tea), and the showers were hot (!) The service was good too. I got an eye infection during my stay, and they were very helpful, letting me use the phone to call my travel... More

Just arrived at this hostel after making the 23 hour trip from lima. If you have a look on the website the only option is for double and twin rooms both at 12 dollars a night. On the website it says breakfast and kitchen facilities are both included in the price. Anyway just arrived and the owner, coco, told us... More

We had to stay here for a couple of weeks whilst trying to find an apartment, and ultimately it was difficult to leave. The room was comfortable, the showers really were the best... and Coco, the owner, is lovely. He's dead helpful and made us feel at home. The kitchen is decent, and we were very comfortable here.

We stayed here before our inca trail trek and left our bags here with no problem without charge whilst we went. When we came back it was very welcome to have such hot showers constantly. The location is slightly out the main tourist area but its not a long walk and taxis are cheap at night. There's also a supermarket... More
