We spent 6 days here before we went off to do the inca trail and it was like home. The staff are the most helpful and friendly, extremely safe and clean. It has amazing views and slightly out of the main hub which was perfect for us. We could not have been more pleased

After one night at crappy El Tuco, we found the wonderful Tika Wasi, but we had to move from thehotel after 3 nights, since they were fully booked for our last 2 nights. The Tika Wasi staff recommended this neighbouring hotel, and at first we were disappointed with moving from there. BUT... Samay II turned to be a really good... More

After the Inca Trail we moved to Samay Wasi 2. See my review of SW1 for details and opinion on that hostel. Coming to Samay Wasi 2 was like a dream! We got the room above the reception (Star room). It was extremely spacious, had an extraordinary view, was very clean, had a very nice bed with good pillows, it... More

We stayed for the before and after our 4 day trek to Macchu Picchu. The first 2 nights were in the front room, really close to the street and front door. It was a huge room with its own bathroom, but the door bell contantly ringing and the noise of the street was a bit annoying. We asked if we... More

Throughout my stay in Peru, in the various cities, I always opted for private rooms with ensuite, as they were a better option than the dorms and were affordable. Samay Wasi was the first hostel where I was more than happy to bunk down in a dorm. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and warm, and the staff were... More

We spent 2 nights in a private room with bathroom and 3 others nights with shared bathroom. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. A big plus is the kitchen (spacious and clean) and the “living room” which makes you feels at home with sofas, PC, books and TV with DVD. Always free coffee and tee. The stuff is helpful and... More

We stayed for six nights in Samay Wasi 2 and we liked this hostel. When we had a trip we could place our luggage in the luggage storage, breakfast was ok, the staff was overall very friendly and helpfull and with our hola hostel membership we got a 10% discount. The hostel is clean and we really liked the good,... More

We stayed here for a few nights before and after the inca trail. It was clean and quiet, but the location can be hard to get to. It is a 10 minute uphill walk from the main part of town and taxis and buses won´t go as the streets are too narrow. The free internet was good. The free breakfast... More

The hostel is super quaint with an amazingly friendly staff and daily breakfast with the coca leaves was always a pleasure. Clean room, big bathroom, hot water and plenty of sunshine. Henry the manager was a great guide and his wife works there as well. What a nice family. Maybye you'll get lucky and see his baby Luciano when you... More
