I stayed at Saya Wasi (downstairs) for five nights and it was a great experience. The suite was huge, clean, and had everything you could need. Each morning we were served a delicious, fresh breakfast - better than any other hotel breakfast I've had! The view from the terrace is incredible and the location in San Blas is safe and... More

We wrapped our Peru trip by staying with Denis. It couldn't have ended better. The place was gorgeous and Denis was a gracious host. He was very friendly and insightful. The accommodations were far above our expectations - breakfast was delicious and the view was simply amazing. Saya Wasi was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Peru.

Saya Wasi is a bed and breakfast with the most fabulous views in Cusco. The rooms are large and well appointed. The breakfasts are served French style with white linens and the breakfasts are sumptuous, fresh and absolutely delicious. Denis Poitras is the manager and is the most wonderful and helpful Concierge in this wondrous and adventurous city. He is... More

Cuzco was an amazing place to visit and our host Denis at Saya Wasi added immeasurably to the experience. Friendly and knowledgeable, Denis always knew where to have the perfect coffee, the perfect meal, the perfect cocktail. Saya Wasi was clean, cozy and close to all the sights. Breakfast had a real wow factor, I've stayed in plenty of fancy... More

I agree that the Saya Wasi is in serious need of a facelift. We stayed for four nights at the end of August 2011. The view is stunning, but that's where the positive ends. The street location is above the clean, nice area of San Blas. The street stinks of fresh sewage, is dusty and unpaved. The apartment is tired.... More

The "Sayawasi" is a great place to stay if you want an apartment to yourself, where you can cook and chill out in your own space. The view is awazing over looking the city, both in the day and night. It is a steep climb up to the house, but it's well worth it and the San Blas square is... More

Stayed 10 days at Saya Wasi, and the reviews are now out of date that praise it. Yes, the view is still fabulous, but the room we had was shabby, shop worn. The stairs to get up to the building were a killer. Open sewer along the sidewalk and stairway made the difficult breathing even worse. Shower head attachment was... More

It was by far the best place I had been in Cusco. This was my 5th time. Highly recommended.

This is another of those special places that one is difficult to recommend as I do not want it to be booked up next time I visit. Perched above San Blas, access is gained by walking up some steep steps but the reward is the spectacular views of Cuzco, there are three self contained apartments above which the owner Marta lives... It was the best place where we stayed during our trip in Peru. The rooms were so comfortable, in felt like a home. The only disadvantage were all the stair you have to climb if you walk from the plaza to the appartment. But if you are only a bit sportive it is no problem. I you ever want to... More
