My wife and I had a wonderful stay at The WalkOn Inn... The place is just two blocks away from the Main Square, up a cobblestone street with a fantastic overview of Cusco. If that weren't enough, it is located in the same mountain and below the Inca fortress of Saccsayhuaman; you can actually walk up there in just 20... More

Pros: Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff (helped us carry our heavy backpacks, called taxis for us, were flexible in terms of cancelation and checking out later than usually allowed), absolutely clean, spacious, nice rooms + common room, free tea. We even got a bigger room + private bathroom although we only paid the normal fee. Cons: breakfast could be... More

Lonely Planet says the staff is indifferent, but that's not been my experience (although, it has been my experience in the rest of this country, to which I hope never to return). It's clean. The rooms are fairly spacious. It's close to the centro without being in the thick of things. The breakfast is over-priced, but they provide 24 hour... More

This place was super average and additionally out of the way. The woman who checked us in obviously didn't do so correctly, because another staff person pounded on our door early the next morning and demanded our passports. Overall, not a great experience.

Although my stay was very nice up until the last day. I came back from Machu Picchu to find out that some of my belongings had be stolen from my private room! When I approached the staff the said no one had been in my room even though the bed was made and my belongings were gone. It was only... More

I stayed here before and after the trek to MP. This place was very friendly, clean for the very low price. Front desk staff were friendly, but during my second stay, the lady couldn't speak much English. They were very helpful - got me a taxi for the airport and printed boarding passes for my flight back. It's also very... More

We stayed here twice for three days each time. The hostel is clean and the staff are helpful if you have questions. The showers were very hot and enjoyable. It is a good walk up the hill from the Plaza Dr Armas (only because of the elevation,it really isn't that far). The hostel will hold your baggage for when you... More

We stayed at the WalkonInn for several days in April. It is clean, a 5 minute 'huff' up hill from plaza de armas. Front desk staff were cheerful, rooms were spotless. It was 'shoulder season', so no breakfast offered (sold at a price of 13 soles), we were the only guests most nights. Rooms are not heated, but fluffy quilt... More
