We stayed at the Pirwa Suecia for 4 nights. They are right off of the Plaza de Armas, very centrally located and within walking distance of everything. The place is clean and the common area is nice and inviting but it was freezing inside. The rooms are simple and have a small electric heater but the whole hotel is in... More

If you're in town for the Inca Trail, staying in this hostel before the trek is the way to go. To get acclimatized, you have to walk around town and let all the colours and festivities sink in and this hostel is in a great location. Plus, all the services that they offer are catered to backpackers and trekkers who... More

I stayed at the Pirwa Suecia upon return to Cusco from Machu Picchu. The location cannot be beat, literally steps away from the manin square in Cusco and close by restaurants and a Peru Rail location. The rooms were a decent size but could have been better. I stayed at another hostel earlier in Cusco, much nicer rooms, same price... More

We stayed only one night at Pirwa Suecia. Chosen because it is extremely close to the Plaza de Armas. The location could not be better. It is a good option for backpackers and nothing more. The staff is very attentive and personable. The breakfast is very simple and is served in a restaurant 1 block from the hostel. The beds... More

Noisy. Dangerous: electrical sockets sticking out of walls. Electrical shorts in wires and tv. Incompetent staff except for 1 man who was nice. Staff was drunk in the common room the night before I checked out. Have to ask for tp. Not a good place unless you are broke, 20 and sleeping 3 in a room. Good location and inexpensive,... More

Overall it was alright. Staff were super friendly. The rooms were clean. Free Internet. Wi-Fi signal works okay in the lounge area, but there'a shared computer available for use. It's great that you can book excursions straight from the lobby. Walls are things, and it gets pretty noisy at night because it's across the street from a nightclub, but even... More

After arriving in Cusco at an unearthly 4.30am with a complete lack of organisational skills & planning we blundered around the drunk infested streets of Cusco errantly trying to find a double room. After no luck with the 1st three hostels we tried Pirwa and were fortunate enough to bag the last room available which was quite surprising considering the... More

Great breakfast and comfortable dorms at reasonable prices, I stayed at the group hostels in Aquas Calientes , Lima, Araquipa and Cusco and throughly recommend them all are close to centres of attraction and Ishaml in Lima was great for information on itinary and sights etc. Great places to stay with atmosphere but not loud as some hostels can be

The room was incredible cold, even colder than outside. No windows. Noise from the room above. The warm water didnt work, neither the Wifi-Internet. The staff was nice but helpless. The price is with 75 Soles more than a ripoff! Sorry, but hands of this hotel!

This is in an excellent location - almost on the central Plaza de Armas! The staff are very helpful and they have a travel agency in-house that can help you with stuff, though don't expect them to open on time (book things in advance if you can). You can also leave your luggage in a storage room if you're doing... More
