The hostel is situated close to the top of a hill near the Touristy site of Saqsaywaman. If you don't want a 10-15 minute walk up hill then it is not for you. The taxi will take you here from town costs about 5 soles. We stayed for about 7 days before and after Machu Picchu. The beds were comfortable... More

My husband and I have been traveling for 6 months through Central and South America, and this was by far the worst service we have had at a budget hotel/hostel. Upon arrival we were left waiting in their sitting room for over 45 minutes without explanation...just told to wait. Our room was musty and very cold. After asking for a... More

I recently returned from Cusco and stayed at this hotel for three nights (before and after the Inca Trail). The rooms were very nice with attention to detail (pictures, night tables, lamps that work, and nice decor). The bed was comfortable and room clean. I do have to say, that upon inspection, some of the rooms were a little musty smelling.... More

Simple hotel with a nice covered innercourt. Looks really cosy. Walking distance to down town, but certainly not going back. Is on top of a long, steep hill, so you need a taxi to get from town to the hotel. The hill is that steep that even some taxi's cannot make it all the way ! Wouldn't book this hotel... More

Don't expect any frills when you book this place to stay for a few days, it is what it is and thats a decent little hostel that you stay in either side of your trip along the Inca Trail. It is basic but myself and my friends found it to be clean, yes there is an issue with how much... More

My girlfriend I stayed and Chincana Wasi for a total of 4 nights, either side of our Inca Trail Tour. Due to the time of year, the hotel was very quiet, however the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We arrived fairly late, however the receptionist insisted on showing us a variety of rooms around the hotel to ensure we... More

Having stayed in Lima for quite sometime, before arriving in Peru, and going on a trip that involved "roughing it" i thought this hotel was very good. There was a group of 14 teenager (16 and 17) and 5 adults, and none of us had major complaints. unfortunately i got altitude sickness, and was sick in bed for a full... More

I book this hostel for a group of 18. I visited the hostel ahead of time and meet with the owner. She promised, in writing, as part of the total charges: Airport transport, welcome drink and clean rooms with heaters. I got none, zero, of the above. The owner would not accept credit cards and I needed to pay in... More

I read these complaints, sent by a lady from the USA who brought a group to spend a few days here and was appaled because nothing of what she wrote was true. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the sheets are comfortable (not thin as she said, that was the mattress`cover, not the sheet), there`s hot water 24 hours a day... More
