Whilst this is not in the more expensive San Blas area popular with tourists, it is only a short walk to the Plaza Des Armas and a couple of other very nice plazas. The hostel is in a very nice old house and has quiet, spacious, comfortable common areas (Wifi only in these areas). I booked a single room with... More

I stayed 4 nights in total and enjoyed the quiet. No bar, so no noise from that. Just a quiet place to stay with good breakfast. There's a fire in the TV room downstairs which we enjoyed on the evenings. Dorm beds were very comfortable and they have en suite bathrooms. My dorm even had a sofa and TV in... More

My wife and I stopped at the hostel Mallqui in Cusco for 5 nights in late November-early December. In general we are pleased by the conditions of the accommodation and would consider staying in it another time. Our very negative comment is related to the charges of the hostel front desk for tours, and also taxi. The cost of a... More

The place was really cozy, an old Peruvian house adapted as Hostel. The room I got wasn't really big for a double room (I got a double with private bathroom), we barely had space to walk. Also the bathroom was clean but small, and some of the towels had holes. On the other hand the Breakfast was great! it included... More

Hostal is in walking distance from Plaza De Armas. The value is very good, around 30 US per night for a double with private bathroom, especially comparing to accommodation prices in Cusco. Breakfast is very basic, but this is all what you basically need. Rooms are good, but if you stay during the cold month I would recommend you to... More

I found Hostal Mallque through the Hosteling International organization website. I like staying in hostels around the world because I like the lifestyle, use of a kitchen for some special diet requirements, and the casual friendly atmosphere to meet fellow travelers and compare notes with, and ability to lock my gear up when out and about. So I was a... More

This hostal was very charming and true to the architecture of the area. Rooms are around a courtyard and the decor was cultural and well chosen. The place was clean, close to the Plaza and good value for money. I stayed a double room and it was comfortable, a good size, and not in a noisy area. This was back... More

Warm inviting colors, charming Colonial ambience, hot coca tea all day long, comfortable and clean rooms, only a few blocks from the plaza, stellar beakfast...and Cynthia, the host, Hostel Mallqui turned out to be a wonderful stab in the dark. My first time to Peru. And as you already know, booking everything over the internet leave one a little nervous.... More

We stayed in Hostel Mallqui for 11 nights, after one night in our booked hostel next to the Plaza de Arma(rather lose the booking fee than stay in small room with no common space). Hostel Mallqui is nice with good breakfast, warm welcome and helpful staff, comfortable, clean and big room (matrimonial room with private bathroom), welcome common space, located... More

I make a reservation in this hostal. The architecture is really nice, ambient is quiet, and have a very good breakfast.
