This is a great place to stay when in Cusco. The rooms are super clean thanks to Katy, Carlita and Ingrid. They also provide a free breakfast in the morning, as well. Katy and Javier speak good English if you need help or information during your stay in Cusco. The hostel is a convenient 10 or 15 minute walk from... More

We stayed for 4 nights and it felt like home. A great place to have fun or relax. Breakfast is included which was delicious. Every room including all the bathrooms are very clean and constantly being maintained by the friendly staff that are available all hours. Javier the owner is very informative, friendly, and funny. If you are looking for... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Javier gave us great local tips on restaurants (Cebicheria Olas Bravas) and places to look for less industrial alpaca goodies (Pisac market). The breakfast was very tasty and with a surprise every day (the pancakes, omelet and platano smoothie were fantastic). The rooms even though simple are very spacious and cozy with thick blankets. The... More

A friend and I stayed here for a night before and after our Salkantay trek to Machu Pichu. We had a private room and bath. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. The owner was very hospitable and friendly. We were able to store our excess luggage for over a week as well. It was very quiet and the surrounding neighborhoods... More

Few minutes from center (there's also a bakery with sweet creamy cakes on the way). Nice decor, rooms are clean, however a little cold-ish in April, beds are comfy, and blankets are sufficient. Shared bathroom is with warm water. They even were so kind to receive us and open the room in the morning at 6 to let us in... More

Javier at the Recoleta really made the trip to Peru - he was so kind and so helpful. I lost my phone in, and was overcharged by, the airport 'official taxi'. Javier got the taxi driver back, demanded a refund and got my phone back. Amazing. Later when I got sick, he made an appointment at the nearby clinic (superfast... More

Nice, clean rooms. We stayed in two different ones, and one had a window, the other didn´t. The room upstairs with window was super nice, while the other downstairs was definitely ok but a bit dark (although some daylight entered through some kind of glass in the ceiling, can´t explain...) Rooms have private bathroom, though not attached to the room... More

This hostel is fine and meets all basic needs. The rooms are clean and the area is quiet, though not too friendly to be in after dark. The staff are very welcoming and helped us with a number of things from booking taxis to arranging places to eat, as well as advising us on how much to tip on trips... More

Hospedaje Turistico Recoleta is a nice little place to stay. It is not as close as other hostels to the city centre (it is a 15 minute walk), but I would still recommend it. Upon arrival you are greeted with coca tea to help you with altitude sickness (if you succumb to it), or a normal cup of tea. The... More
