This 1794 home has been beautifully restored and is a genuinely boutique hotel with just 41 rooms. We stayed in one of the suites in the old part of the building rather than the modern wing, which is perfectly alright, but lacks the historical feel of the original rooms. Breakfast was very goo d, usually accompanied by a harp playing... More

Who were all the people who had lived in this building? What had they seen and heard? Super to see a building of this age being restored and maintained. We could easily walk to the central square. Safe. Residents were very helpful with directions. Wish I could have taken a Yoga class! Hotel staff had some trouble keeping hotel tabs... More

The hotel is located in the centre of Arequipa and right next to the Santa Catalina convent. The main square is at most 10 minutes walk away. The building is a converted old house and has lots of character but this does lead to problems with some of the rooms. Firstly many of the rooms look into an internal courtyard/walkway... More

Casa Andina was a fine first stop for our 17 day trip to Peru. We stayed there twice...each for one night...and had a suite for the second visit ...which was much more spacious and comfortable. However, both worked out quite well. We discovered an outdoor patio area on one of upper floors and were able to watch fireworks and see... More

I enjoyed my time at Casa Andina in Arequipa, a old monastery converted to a hotel . The staff is great, everyone was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean. I had a very wonderful lunch and the breakfast met my expectations. I will definitely stay there again.

Hotel is a very large old colonial house converted into a hotel. Pros: Location is near to tourist destinations and short walk to central square. Breakfast buffet is solid and offers many choices. Coffee can be a bit cold. Rooms are pleasant and the beds comfortable. Cons: Windows all open to an inside area; in our case a hallway/light shaft,... More

Very comfortable hotel with nice 'open' feel. Good breakfast which can be eaten outside in a delightful courtyard. Staff very pleasant and helpful. We had a lovely big room but we saw others which were of a small standard size. All rooms seemed clean and well equipped. Nice and quiet, 5 mins away from the busy centre.

Two couples staying two nights. The location is excellent with lots of things to see within easy walking distance of the hotel. First impressions are good but we were disappointed by our “Superior” rooms. The furniture and fittings were fine. The rooms were clean and reasonably appointed. However, our room on the first floor (205?) looked out across a void... More

This location is excellent for going to the Monsestario early in the morning. And it is great for walking to very good restaurants. The Restoration architecture is very well done and the covering of the courtyard makes the space grand to be in. HOWEVER, although we booked about a year in advance, we were given the worst room in the... More

Charming hotel, converted from old spanish building. Central amenities of courtyards, and restaurant are very nice. Main selling point is close proximity to main square, restaurants, cathedral, monastery museums, shopping, etc. Upstairs room that we had was fairly spacious, but reminiscent of any US chain hotel room. Our travel mates were on the first (original) floor and had a beautifully... More
