My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights before and after a Cayon del Colca trip. The posada itself is very colorful, peacefull and has an authentic feel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds were however are bit on the small side and we didn't have hot water one morning. The family who owns and... More

This family run hotel couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. The traditional style building has a warm feeling and it is only a ten minute walk from the main square. The free internet was and big plus as was the helpfulness of the staff when assisting with my queries. If I am lucky enough to go to Arequipa again I... More

A beautiful 200 year old home in a relatively quiet part of town. 20 minute walk to city center, but they will arrange taxis without any problem. Lovely courtyard with traditional Spanish flooring. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and the shower was large and had plenty of hot water. The 'papa' is a character and will talk your ear off (in... More

Firstly an apology to the owners for not writing this earlier. Myself and my wife stayed here in November last year. What a delightful place! Very few hotels of this (small) size can be so welcoming and atmospheric. All the staff that we encountered were extremely friendly and they arranged a super trip to Colca Canyon for us. Breakfast is... More

We agree with everything positive that has been said about this hotel, but we want to emphasize how amazingly comfortable, cozy and clean it was, and how friendly, affable and helpful the staff was. They were so nice that it felt like we were friends. We want to also address some of the criticism this hotel has gotten regarding its... More

Wow. I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Posada Nueva Espana. Our bus came in at 6am from Cusco and when we arrived at the Posada the grandfather was just coming in with a newspaper. He welcomed us and gave us a room right away and told us to rest and that we could have tea and... More

We stayed here before and after our trip to the Colca Canyon. We had a room in the original part of the house. Perfect! Clean, quiet and very safe. Super location--nice walk into the main square. A 3 minute walk to a great supermarket with lots of ready made food. The owners made sure all our needs were met. Arranged... More

I liked being here so much I extended my stay by four nights. From the moment I arrived Grandfather Antonio reminded me that their guests were friends and not strangers - and that's exactly how it was. So much so that he would give me daily coaching on my Spanish, and advice on books to help. My room was cleaned... More

Don't be fooled by the surrounding neighbourhood. This hotel is charming, the owner very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast delicious up on the outdoor patio. Free wifi, cable TV, and hot showers.
