Apologies for the delayed review -- I forgot to post this one after my trip -- but this place is absolutely worth posting about even months later! I stayed here in May 2013 with my best friend while on a trip around Peru. This hotel is an ABSOLUTE GEM -- incredible service, great location, a rooftop patio with a view,... More

My wife and I stayed at this place while in arequipa. It is a very quaint and charming spot. The service was incredible and our room was clean. The whole place had a nice vibe and was only a short walk to the plaza d'armes. I would definitely stay here again.

I travel extensively several times a year to Peru and all of Latin America most of which is business. Been doing this for 20 years. I find these small Hotels/Hostels are much better than the big box name-brand hotels. Many of the name brand hotels have excellent lobbies but the rooms are lacking and not always as clean as they... We stayed there for 3 nights. The location is quite central (5-7 minutes to the plaza de armas) and despite the busy front street rather quiet if no late night parties are going on, as it was twice during our stay... (Unfortunately when we wanted to get rid of our sleeping deficit from our journey to peru) apart from that... More

This place is conveniently located near the Plaza de Armas (& also near a chocolate shop on Jerusalen St). Friendly staff, efficient laundry service (12 sols/kg) & a nice breakfast on the terrace with fantastic views. This accomodation was prebooked as part of a tour & is definitely the best place I've stayed at so far. Recommended!

This was a delightful place to stay and one of my favourite places in Peru. They gave me a room right at the top as I requested, which was a little cold, but the morning view was spectacular and worth it. The room was big, the showers hot, the breakfast very welcome. The staff were helpful and refunded me the... More

We stayed for 3 nights and we totally loved it! Our room directly on the terrace was clean, very comfortable and sunny! Hot water was available all the time, and free wifi is sufficient. The included breakfast on the terrace is simple but good with an astonishing overview of beautiful Arequipa and the two amazing volcano mountains Chachani and Misti.... More

We stayed 2 nights in early August and thought the Solar was perfect! The Hostal is within a short walk to the Plaza and major sights of Arequipa, but once we were inside, we felt removed from all the traffic and noise. The entrance opens to an attractive courtyard, and our room (#103) was spacious and nice, with a fireplace... More

We had a wonderful stay here. Our room was 302 at the top of the hotel with great views. The roof terrace where we had breakfast was lovely and sunny and fine staff were very friendly and helpful. If you can, try and get a room higher up as they are lighter.

You have to be buzzed in. Once inside by reception there is a private courtyard. On level 2 where you have breakfast is where the view is. All I can say is WOW. Snow capped mountains! Rooms are basic but comfortable. Town is a short walk. There is however a nice bakery almost opposite the hostel entrance. The bakery is... More
