Stayed three nights at Casa de Avila in August 2014. Not a luxury hotel, but good value for money. Decent sized rooms, ok breakfast (can order eggs for an extra fee), very good service and located pretty close to Plaza de Armas. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it perfect for our needs, it was mid range In price and very cleansing free wifi. It was a short walk away from the centre so it was quiet allowing for a good rest. The beds were comfortable and the shower had plentiful hot water. The only thing they could change would... More

Our bus arrived into Arequipa at 0600 in the morning. Both myself and my travel partner were very very sick. When we arrived at the hotel without a reservation, they had an available room and cleaned it for us. We could hardly stand we were so ill. They allowed us to check in early and passed on the word to... More

I loved staying at this hotel! The room was very nice and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful! We loved spending time in the courtyard and we did the cooking lessons that they offered at the hotel which was very fun! I would highly recommend Casa de Avila!

Lovely staff, soothing courtyard garden with hummingbirds feeding on the blossom while we were there, a very homely ambience. As others say, the rooms are adequate and could do with an upgrade when they have the resources, but I mainly slept well and the staff couldn't do enough. Very nice outdoor dining area. We did the Andean cookery course (2... More

I stayed for 4 nights with a family group as my son got married in Arequipa. The hotel is inexpensive so one can't expect luxury - the rooms are quite basically furnished but clean and the bed was okay. Shower pressure was poor in my room but others said theirs was like a power shower, so maybe rooms on the... More

Very pleasant experience, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. Location is awesome, near to Plaza de Armas and almost every other attractions. Very recommended, we would surely go back to that hotel.

This place was awesome. They had a large the garden with great wifi that you could spend and afternoon in. The staff were very friendly and spoke Spanish slowly so we could understand (also they spoke English). Breakfast was a standard Peruvian breakfast - but sin avocado :( The location was about a 10 minute walk to the Plaza Del... More

Casa de Avila is a very expensive hotel if we compare the things that offers.I had spoken with the boss to arrange my accommodation there and my lessons.I had asked the price for the two weeks and he lied to me by mentioning the price only for the 5 days. When i arrived and i realized what had happened , in... Dear Guest. Spanish lessons are not part of Casa de Avila Hotel service. You can book Spanish and stay in any other hotel cheaper than Casa de Avila. We do have promotional rates for students (about half the regular one) but backpackers places are always cheaper. The hotel offers a beautiful garden, clean and safe individual rooms with private bathrooms... More
