It was really nice to have the lovely garden area outside our spacious private room. Stayed two& a half nights, but would have liked to stay longer as we really enjoyed Arequipa. Staff very friendly, and only a 10 to 15 minute walk to main plaza. Have never seen such a large police presence as in Arequipa, we felt very... more

I felt that this place lacked a personal touch. Yes it was clean, had free internet (although you are only meant to use it for 15 minutes a day) and included buffet breakfast (juice, bread and butters) but it didn't have any character. The garden was beautiful, especially when it was sunny and it was an easy walk to the... more

The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. They're warm at night, which is needed in this chilly city (at night). They're cleaned everyday. Hot water at all times of day. Most overlook a lovely little garden with sunloungers, tables etc where I think people learn spanish as there is an excellent spanish school based here. Or they are... more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel twice while travelling in Peru and on both occasions found the staff helpful, courteous and very friendly. The rooms we stayed in were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, constant hot water and cable TV. There is also a relaxing court yard with plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy the Arequipa... more

Was here for a few nights in July. The hotel is a conveinent walk to the Plaza de Armas (10 min), but the streets can be a bit deserted at night, so take a taxi if you´re out past 10. The staff is very helpful, and speaks English well. Beautiful garden with lounge chairs. If you want a quiet room,... more

The hostel is good value and attracts a wide range of travellers. It offers excursions but also organises Spanish classes every morning in its lovely garden. A basic breakfast is included but you can also order cooked items. There are TVs in the rooms and free Internet access. more

Great valu place to stay in Arequipa. It is only a few blocks fom the Plaza de Armas and yet it is a place in which to rest & relax in the peace & quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful; they provide excellent value outings (tours,Colca Canyon horse riding, rafting, climbing) and travel service (buses, flights); Spanish school on... more

Our family of 4 stayed here April 2009. The location is great, close enough to the square for convenience, but far eough out of the traffic, close to market. The rooms are quiet and clean, the showers are hot always. The value is great. The prize of the place is the interior garden for relaxation, peace and studying Spanish, all... more

The hostal is located within a 5-10 min walk to the main plaza. The rooms are clean and comfortable with cable TV included. We paid $22 for a private double (however they tried to charge a higher rate when we checked out - so be careful on this!) A basic breakfast is included with the option to purchase additionals such... more
