This hostal is just off the main plaza and in easy walking distance of all the sites in town. The rooms are large and cleaned everyday. The best bit has to be the bathroom though with a really powerful shower and lots of hot water, the best shower I've had in two months of travelling. There is also cable tv... More

We loved the building, old and collonial. The rooms are big, clean and with warm showers. The staff is very helpfull and smilling. They offer a service for free to leave youre bags in the hostal when walking the Calco canon for 2 or 3 days. Reliable service. They even let us stay in the restaurant area when we came... More

Loved this place. Very safe, good location, and a beautiful rooftop sitting area. The staff were very helpful in helping us when our tour group forgot us in the morning. The only drawback is it is located on a busy street so the street noises were loud at night, but that is the price you pay for a good location.

This place is worth the extra soles because of the excellent location. Literally 2 steps from the main square. The accommodation itself is very basic, just as the breakfast. The wifi is great and rooms are large. Staff friendly.

Built in volcanic syllar, this old colonial house, apparently old clergy residence, Casablanca Hostal is definitely a pearl of the White city Arequipa. Its charm is magic. As you walk in passing by the reception, you walk through a beautiful courtyard full of plant and flowers, benches and the breakfast patio. Rooms are amazing! rooooomy rooms, tall ceilings, stone interior... More

This is an excellent travelers' hotel, near the main square. Its rooms were nice with firm beds, hot shower, TV, etc. Pricing was reasonable for the quality of the hostel according to prevailing rates in Arequipa at this time. The place had a very charming atmosphere, with a common area for meeting other travelers on the second floor and a... More

Pros: We loved the location. You come out and you are in the Plaza de Armas. A taxi to the bus station cost 10 soles. Rooms had a nice feeling to it. High ceiling and colonial style. Bed comfortable but mattress a little bit hard. Finally, we enjoyed the little balcony! Cons: Breakfast was disappointing (only bread, jam, coffee and... More

I enjoyed my stay here. It's so close to everything. The rooms are really great and very interesting. They are also really warm. As I've said in other reviews, I'm always cold at night so they gave me an extra blanket just in case. I never needed it and the room was so comfortable I was actually trying to figure... More

I booked a trip to Colca valley through Emotion Tour, Chaco, Paracas, which included a stay of 2 nights in Casablanca. I had no expectations in advance, but was positively surprised. It gave me what I needed: A clean, spacy room with shower, very quiet. Right outside the door Internet and "living room", where I could meet the neighbours. A... More

We had a reservation confirmed a month in advance and arrive after days on the trail only to find that our reservation had been given away by mistake. The staff had no authority to find us a reservation at a similar hotel or to pay the difference for the more expensive hotel we had to stay at. The hotel owners... More
