Las Torres de Ugarte has various different rooms with different advantages. The first one they showed us was in the courtyard. Probably quiet but no window, which is not acceptable to us. So we chose one one on the third floor, with light and a nice view, but the traffic noise in the very early morning was a problem, and... more

This was a great, clean place to stay in a really good location. A few blocks off the main square, it was nice and quiet and central. The bathrooms back onto each other so you can occasionally hear other people's bathroom noises a little too clearly, but overall we were really happy with it. Staff at reception were really nice... more

We stayed at Las Torres de Ugarte for three nights, Sept 8 - 11. This hotel is located behind the Santa Catalina Monastery and is close to everything! Basically a 1 minute walk to the main street with the restaurants and a couple minutes away from the Plaza de Armas. We were welcomed immediately by the helpful receiption and the... more

This was our third hotel in Arequipa and we really liked it. It{s tucked behind the monastery and rooms are set off a pretty courtyard. Rooms are comfortable, showers are hot and staff our really friendly and helpful, even at 4am when I was panicking about an alarm I could hear. The breakfast room and terrace also offer great views... more

At 2 minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas and Santa Catalina Monastery, with clean rooms, hot water and good service it's difficult to ask for more. For people sensible to pain, stay away for the massages. It's not bad, but not so gentle. more

This hotel was clean with good service. The staff were very nice and helped us book our bus tickets to Puno. The first night we stayed there we had a triple that was kind of small, so we asked them to give us a bigger room the next night and they did. The bathrooms were clean with reliable hot water.... more

I’ve taken several enjoyable trips to South America, primarily relying on my guidebook to find great hostels. On my recent visit to Arequipa, Peru I found one of the very best Hostels, but I was surprised that it was not even listed in my guidebook. The hostel is Las Torres de Ugarte. It is located a short walk from the... more

This hostal is simply fabulous value. Its located in the center of Arequipa, only three blocks from the main square and only two blocks from the great restaurents on Calle Francisco. The room was clean and spacious with TV and ensuite. So good for the price, and to top it iff the staff are friendly and very helpful. I strongly... more

My wife and I stayed at Las Torres de Ugarte and were very pleased. The staff are very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the breakfast server. Very clean rooms, clean bathrooms, hot water, and very secure. The location is superb as well. They even offer you maté de coca to help you acclimatize! Great city, great hotel,... more

We had arrived on a very late bus at 4.30 a.m. yet the hotel had sent as requested a pick up from the bus station. They had had to wait 3 hours! What service. On arrival at hotel we were greeted most warmly despite the hour and shown to our clean, carpeted room with private shower. In the morning had... more
