A friendly hotel with a comfy home feel. Although not in the centre of the city the hotel offers some the best views across the surrounding countryside to El Misti volcano. Although the Puente Grau is now one of the main routes into Arequipa few people notice the noise within the hotel grounds.

Room was on the small side and we were at the back (room 14) and it overlooked their back yard where they stored spare equipment. We got back about 6pm and just after that, we were aware of a loud banging noise. It would continue for about 5 minutes, then stop and start again about 5 minutes later. We could... More

Good points: A very pleasant hotel, with delightful gardens affording a lovely view across a river and towards the volcano El Misti in the distance. One big advantage is that being slightly outside of the town centre, we were spared the horrendous diesel fumes and the ceaseless beeping of taxis. Only a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Nice... The place in general is ok but, they are keeping a 20 year old llama on their grounds. The animal is dirty, alone and left by itself in a small yard in a metro area. They need to bring this animal to a proper environment. Llamas are social, herd animals and even if cared for and given proper nutrition (which... More

We feslt in the colonial city of Arequipa, but in the same time outside because the setting was next to the river and we could even have a drink in the gardens to enjoy the mountains. The staff was very gentle and we were happy stying there.

The hotel is on the outskirts of town but within easy walking distance. Peacocks roam the grounds. The hotel was dated. Our room although clean just seemed something out of the 1970's. There was no bin and although we asked for one it never came, the toilet seat was broken as was the wifi for the night we were there.... More

In city centre but does not feel like it. 10 min walk to the old town sites. Beautiful gardens next to river and very oeaceful despite being near road. Good rooms in small "cottages". Ours looked out over river. Good breakfast. Friendly to our children . Had one meal which was reasonable- had an excellent dinner in the nearby Zig-Zag... More

Beautiful grounds, friendly service, good restaurant. As another reviewer mentioned, bottles of water, as well as coffee and tea, is readily available in the lobby (free of charge) at all times. It is just a short walk to shops and restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again.

Smallish hotel - close to the centre but not right in the centre. Some traffic noise - nothing that disturbed us.. Free bottled water always available. Tea & coffee on tap all the time. I was particularly impressed that when I was taking a suitcase from my room to the reception (I could have asked for help but didn't bother)... More

This hotel was one of several booked for us by an excellent travel company as part of a private tour. It's a quirky hotel in a good location for walking to the sights of Arequipa. It's almost an oasis from the constant hustle and bustle of the noisy city traffic. Although far from silent, it's sheltered from a good deal... More
