Beautiful hotel grounds, located along the rio chilli. Close to main plaza but sufficiently isolated from the noise of the city traffic. Food is great, and the service in the restaurant is nice. The fireplace at night is a nice touch. Llamas and peacocks roam freely on the hotel grounds.

This hotel was okay for a 2 night stay. The location entailed a challenging walk into the town centre as traffic is chaotic and crossing the roads requires care. Breakfast was adequate and our room spotlessly clean. One of the 2 adult llamas looks quite the worse for wear, but the other and the youngster were in better condition. Fair... More

A huge disappointment. The hotel is a bit of a building site which I can overlook. However sewage coming up into the bathtub is another matter as was the relative indifference of the staff to this problem. We had to insist on another room while they thought it sufficient merely to hose down the bath. It was a battle to... More

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting next to the river with views to the nearby mountains. Great garden area with llamas and peacocks. The latter we thought might be a problem as they can be noisey but they seemed to be locked up at night. Convenient to Arequippa with a fifteen minute walk to the Cathedral. If you don't... More

A friendly hotel with a comfy home feel. Although not in the centre of the city the hotel offers some the best views across the surrounding countryside to El Misti volcano. Although the Puente Grau is now one of the main routes into Arequipa few people notice the noise within the hotel grounds.

Room was on the small side and we were at the back (room 14) and it overlooked their back yard where they stored spare equipment. We got back about 6pm and just after that, we were aware of a loud banging noise. It would continue for about 5 minutes, then stop and start again about 5 minutes later. We could... More

Good points: A very pleasant hotel, with delightful gardens affording a lovely view across a river and towards the volcano El Misti in the distance. One big advantage is that being slightly outside of the town centre, we were spared the horrendous diesel fumes and the ceaseless beeping of taxis. Only a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Nice... The place in general is ok but, they are keeping a 20 year old llama on their grounds. The animal is dirty, alone and left by itself in a small yard in a metro area. They need to bring this animal to a proper environment. Llamas are social, herd animals and even if cared for and given proper nutrition (which... More

We feslt in the colonial city of Arequipa, but in the same time outside because the setting was next to the river and we could even have a drink in the gardens to enjoy the mountains. The staff was very gentle and we were happy stying there.

The hotel is on the outskirts of town but within easy walking distance. Peacocks roam the grounds. The hotel was dated. Our room although clean just seemed something out of the 1970's. There was no bin and although we asked for one it never came, the toilet seat was broken as was the wifi for the night we were there.... More
