The hotel is in a great location, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet included many options (bread, eggs, hot meat, cheese, hot beverages, juices, cereal, etc). Parts of the hotel face a night club, so it can get rather loud during the night (even on a weeknight!) -- so either ask for a room that doesn't face the... More

This hotel should have got a four but the late night music from a nearby disco spoiled the impression. From 12 to 05 a steady thumping reverberated through our room. Thanks to my ear plugs I managed to get in a fair number of hours of sleep. Otherwise it's a good hotel, great location, big room etc. Staff was friendly... More

My partner and I were placed here for 1 night by another hotel who had mucked up our booking. We ended up in room 407 and frustratingly the wifi did not work as I assume we were just out of range at the very end of the corridor. If I walked out of the room and 5m down the corridor... More

The rooms and facilities here are of a good standard for a hotel. Reception staff is distant and check in may seem cumbersome - but the rooms are really nice and the bathrooms are of good quality. Careful if you have a room out back - you might have the music of the clubs of the neighborhood in your room.... More

We were extremely disappointed at this hotel. The staff were unfriendly and not very helpful. You have to pay for botled water (have not had to do this anywhere else)! The breakfast was poor (the worst coffee we had on a 5 weeks trip in 3 countries - very stewed). The staff were often surly and almost always unsmiling. Our... More

The location and staff of this hotel was great. It is right next to the monastery. Close to plaza de Armas. The rooms where nothing special, they are clean and have hot water and for $60 a night it is well worth it. I would not pay more.

We woulden't go back, the staff and the front desk...I was expecting something different, I only like the main square and the colonial look of the entrance and the lobby. Average hotel? I don't think so.

A wonderful hotel - slap bang opposite the Monastry Beautiful grounds and superb views from the hotel over the city Nice breakfast Slight problem with discos/pubs in the vicinity which went on until 4 am the first night and 5 am the second - not hugely loud but just enough to slighlty disturb sleep

Truly one of the prettiest and most unique hotel's in Arequipa at an affordable price. The entrance, the lobby area and the dining room really portrayed the monastery and colonial look and feel I was expecting. Sometimes you are bought by hotel pictures and when you arrive nothing looks like it. This was not the case with Hotel Posada Monasterio:... More

We loved this hotel the most of all the ones we stayed at in Peru. It was in a great location - walking distance from the main square. Room was very clean and comfortable. Many restaraunts nearby. Room had a great view of the mountains. Also is right across the street from the Santa Catalina Monastery. The breakfast included was... More
