The garden is the best place where to stay. I's close to the center (10 min walk). The room are not very confortable (need to be renew and clean, easy to hear rumors). The structure offer a very nice environment a library, internet pc, restaurant, free drink in the evening. more

We loved this little place. There is so much open space and a sunny garden with a pool to relax beside. I think that there are several types of rooms here and some look quite small and perhaps older. Our room was called a junior suite, though it was just a few dollars more and was not a true "suite".... more

A surprising enclave of small buildings, enclosed in a village-like setting. There is much outdoor space, with tables and chairs always available - and lots of trees and flowers, The staff is everywhere and very responsive. Nice place near the city centre but very tranquil. 10 mins walk from the main square but some restaurants close by. Gardens to relax in with a pool, hammocks, small restaurant with piano music. La Casa is a tranquil oasis 10 minutes walk from the centre of Arequipa It is set in lovely gardens with a beautiful garden terrace for an excellent breakfast Security is high with a guard always on the outside door. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and a young man helped us to our room--which was good because the place sort of meanders around and it isn't obvious where to go. Wonderful open grounds with fountains, hammocks and benches, interesting birds, both in cages and wild, abundant vegetation, pool, small restaurant, library, laundry, book exchange, and, amazingly, recycling. This is really a lovely place....nice grounds, pool, rooms, breakfast, adequate location. BUT......I had my IPOD and flashlight stolen from my backpack while it was in the room. I always lock my suitcase when I'm out and about, use a lightweight day pack for sight seeing, and leave my regular backpack back in the room. Someone unzipped the top and... more
