Classy home. The checkin girl is very nice. She seems to be the only one around at regular hours. She told us to take a taxi back to the hotel after night fall. Nightfall is at 6pm when we visited in Dec 9th--we were surprised and asked if there were incidents. She said It is a residential locality predominantly, so... More

Casa Arequipa was our first hotel in Peru and while not perfect, it was very nice. The old pink/lavender house is a beauty and is in a relatively quiet residential area about a 15 minute walk from the main plaza. There is a nice roof terrace with good views of the city and surrounding mountains, including the iconic "El Misti."... More

The staff were very helpful in coordinating our trip to Colca Canyon (and on short notice) and were always available to answer questions and coordinate transfer services. The rooms were lovely. The only small con was a cold shower on one of the 3 days during the stay. Otherwise the hotel was clean, friendly staff and a great breakfast.

We stayed here for a few days before and after heading out to colca canyon. The rooms were very nicely decorated, a real romantic feeling . The whole hotel building had a real nice colonial style to it. The staff was really friendly and helpful . Only con was the breakfast hours, which were between 7-9. A bit early if... More

A small (10 or 12 rooms only) boutique Hotel just a ten minute walk from city square in a safe and quiet location. Close to restaurants. Staff told me it was an old home converted to a Hotel and some furniture made by the owners family. Rooms are large and furnished with old period furniture to give it character and... More

We booked two non-consecutive rooms at this hotel with a night in-between when we'd be exploring the Colca Canyon. Our stay didn't start off great, as the airport pick-up I'd arranged 3 days earlier never showed up. We waited around for about 15 minutes after we collected our bags, then we called the Hotel. The person on the phone didn't... More

We were on a 3-week, small group tour of Peru and stayed here two nights. Getting a good room when on a tour is akin to winning the room lottery. And we did. Our room was on the first floor (called the Colonial). It was large, with a couch. The bathroom was large. The linens and pillows were excellent. The... More

This is THE place to stay in Arequipa. We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of October and the service and hospitality from the staff was outstanding. We had pre-booked the Weaving Room but when we arrived we were a little worried as it was on the ground floor and just off a communal guest area. Straight away we... More

We have been travelling 3,5 weeks through Peru and Equador. Besides the fact that we loved Arequipa, we went to this hostel on advise of Lonely Planet. And it paid off! The rooms were clean and spacious, service was incredible and the staff is insanely kind and helpfull. This was definately our best stay!
