Right on the main square with lovely views from the balcony overlooking the square and church. However, it is adjacent to a disco which, at least on Fri. and Sat. nights, blares music until 5 am. Fantastic location right on the main square in Arequipa, within walking distance of most of the attractions. We were lucky to have a room with a balcony facing the square, well appointed and clean. Buffet breakfast was good especially when taken on the outside terrace of the restaurant, people watching in the square. Had a very pleasant evening meal here.... more

I found the Sonesta's location to be exceptional! The hotel is right in the heart of Plaza de Armas (where most of the stores and restaurants are) with easy access to anywhere in Arequipa. Although there's some construction outside the hotel (city is renovating the public roads), the hotel inside is very cozy and comfortable. The rooms are not luxurious... more

Obviously there is no better location in the city, but nothing else to expect : ugly decoration, noisy rooms, distant staff... You just pay for the view. more
