We only stayed at this hostel for one night, in a private room, but in the short time we were there, we were able to do everything we needed to, walking, in Arequipa, so it was in a great downtown location. The night we were there, we decided to stay in, buy food and have some drinks on the hostel... More

The location: Is within walking distance of the main plaze de armas. It doesn't appear to be in a bad neighborhood but it isn't absolutely beautiful to look at. Breakfast: Umm, awesome... eggs, pan with marmalade, fruit, juice and tea and coffee... Staff: friendly but not overly so. Not rude. Wifi: meh, it's not fantastic but it's not horrible... you... 10' walking from the Plaza. The room was big but we found some hairs in the shower and in the basin.. Our room (maybe 101) was located at the corner of the two streets and it was very noisy, especially during the night. However, the breakfast was very good and abundant. The terrace on the roof in excellent.

The hostel is a really good option for its price. Is just five blocks from the main plaza where you can also find all the facilities you need. The personal is helpful at any moment you need them and they don't charge you for anything extra. The Internet connection is good. And rooms are superb for the price.

I stayed here for about a week, and can highly recommend it is very clean, the loaction is perfect, the decor is interesting, and the view of the volcano and mountains from the roof terrace is fantastic! The staff don´t speak much english, but they are very friendly - I was even given a free upgrade from a dorm to a... Ive stayed at the pirwa in Cusco and Lima before, so I thought it was a safe choice for Arequipa. Unfortunately, this pirwa hostel is operated rather differently. Managed by an older gentlemen rather than the young crew I'm used to, several things were off. First, they won't serve you any breakfast until 8.30. Second, there is a single lockable... More

Though it's not a cheap place to stay, if you consider a Peruvian standard (which is extremely poor) it's worth paying a bit extra for a better service. The receptionists are quite friendly and helpful. The room was OK, there are 2 computers for free, good Wi-Fi connection, and a free and very simple breakfast. Located in a good place... More

Very poorly furnished room: 2 bunk beds and one chair. I had to go downstairs (1 level) to use the toilet and bathroom. The building was rather outdated and not super well maintained. On the other hand the welcome was very heartly, the breakfast was included and the internet (+ PC) was free to use. The hostal is situated at... More
