This hostel isn't as close to downtown as some of the other hostel but it is clean, quiet, has comfy beds beds and hot water, a rare commodity in Peru! The price is reasonable but the rooms could use a fresh coat of paint.

Stayed in Flying Dog in a double for a week and dont have any complaints about it. Room and bathroom were both nice and clean and the building itself is really nice too. Cheap bar and good kitchen facilities. Very, very good location only about 5 min from the plaza. Cat and dog too :)

Helpful 24-hr staff, nice courtyard & lounging areas, comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms/showers. Clean. Basic breakfast spread included, wifi works decently (couldn't always get signal in room, & sometimes was out in common area as well, but whole city has wifi issues sometimes). Good location near city center and plenty of restaurants. Felt safe walking back to hostel alone at... More

Absolutely loved the Flying Dog. Beautiful old building with a lot of character and charm. Really friendly staff, especially Christian at the front desk. Excellent location to see everything the city has to offer.

After staying at the flying dog in Lima we thought we'd try them in Arequipa. We were not disappointed. We stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom which was fine. But for 6 soles more you can get a private bathroom, so i think I'd do that again next time. Really helpful staff. They sell the colca canyon... More

The Flying Dog in Arequipa was everything we hoped that it would be from reading the other reviews. A great building in a fantastic location just a few blocks from Plaza Del Aramis and the staff were equally great especially Christian who really looked after us well. The rooms are huge and clean with super high ceilings, the beds and... More

Found this place very overpriced for what was offered (90 soles for matrimonial room). We found a great place for 40 soles, shared bathroom without breakfast however, much light and excellent view of mount Misti and other mountain range, so definitely worth looking around if you are on a budget. The wifi at flying dog was intermittent at best. Breakfast... More

Stayed here after staying in the Flying Dog Hostel in Lima. So glad that we went here! Though we loved the one in Lima, this one in Arequipa has more uniqueness to it. The rooms are all very clean and the building itself is very beautiful with a nice courtyard in the middle. There is also roof access with a... More

Christian, the main reception staff member, was the most helkpful person I have met during my 5 month trip. If you need advise about anything from retrurants to tours to future destinations, he... Had a great experience here, the location is great, the hostel is beautiful, and the staff is both professional and fun. Christian was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us along our journey. I'd highly recommend this place to travellers of all ages. 10/10!
