We would like to thank José, the owner of the hostel, for a very pleasant stay in Arequipa. José gave us some great tips about the city, he recommended us a good tour operator for the colca canyon, and let us store our luggage for free when we were on our 3-day trek. The place itself is nice, the room... More

We stayed here with Peru Hop. The place was small and simple the bathroom was nice you have to ask them to turn on the hot water some times they have a gas heater so they turn it off during the night and sometimes during the day. The kitchen is decent and there is a little market up the street... More

This place is a very good deal if you're looking for a compromise between a friendly and open family run hotel and cheap but decent place to stay. The rooms are simple but clean, good Wifi signal, roof terrace, kitchen and last but not least a very friendly and open minded owner. If the above described is what you're looking... More

As a hostel it's a joke: the rooms are dirty, shabby and ill-maintained. No breakfast. Intermittent hot water (but to be fair, this is a problem endemic to Peru). The location of the hostel on a busy street means polluted air. For 60 sol (20 USD) it's not worth it. Try the Flying Dog a couple of blocks away (70... More

Jose was amazing! We were staying in another hostel across the road that was unfriendly, noisy and filthy. We were about to go to Colca Canyon and wanted a nicer hotel to return to. Jose let us keep our bag there even though we had not stayed yet. We returned to a lovely clean room with a Nice hot shower.... More

Ask the owner anything (or just chat) ! He'll give you very valuable information and more! (you'll probably safe some money too!) Room quality is excellent, bathroom clean. Luggage storage available for when you go trekking.

Great spot for couple to stay. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our 4 days there. It is quiet, clean and right downtown. Jose was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was endlessly helpful and genuinely cared about his guests needs. Couldn't be happier with my experience there. Thank you Jose your the man!

This hostel has just 2 faults from what we saw in our one night here. 1. The rooftop chairs were old and worn, especially the cushions which really really need to be replaced. 2. The kitchen is quite small. Apart from this my review is completely positive. The owner Jose is a really nice guy, as is the night clerk.... More

This hotel is worthy of all the praise it gets on here. But its real jewel is the owner Jose. The man is very helpful and can pretty much advise you on and arrange anything in the Arequipa area. He's also a great guy just to sit down and have a conversation with. As regards the rooms, they are cleaned... More
