The owners were personable, the staff extremely attentive. Safe. Super-large rooms. Each of our rooms could have easily slept 3-6 people (well worth the price we paid, given the size, cleanliness, complimentary breakfasts (juice, toast, and all the eggs you could want). Internet connection worked well, when server was on. Pool -- clean, new, right size for 6-8 people lounging... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during a tour of the Galapagos. We had a cabana sized room with a nice sized kitchen/dining area. Breakfast was delicious. It was a little far to walk to downtown, but not too inconvenient. The pool was small, but really great for lounging around.

The room was very clean, comfortable beds, hot shower, wifi, tv, great view of the town and water from the hill location. Best breakfast that comes with your stay. To celebrate my 40th birthday we took an adventure-filled 14 day trip to the Galapagos & deep into the Amazon jungle. The trip started with our flight into San Cristobal and staying at Pimampiro. When we arrived Alejandra met us at the front gate with a warm welcome. She showed us our room (#8) which was very spacious and clean.... More

This hotel is run by a couple Fernando and Alejandra who are extremely generous and friendly. Alejandra picked us up from the airport, helped us with our bags and was quick to explain all the services they provide (free usage of bikes, breakfast at the hour you want, cost of taxi rides etc.) They have a big door that locks... We had a great stay here for 3 nights after our cruise. At first I didn't like that it was away from the main part of town, but it was only a 10 minute walk (downhill) to town and 15 minutes or $1 taxi back. The hotel is so clean and spacious, and the owners are so helpful, such as... More

Pimampiro Hosteria is not a hostel at all, but a group of pristine white cabins about a half mile walk from downtown Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristobal. The hotel opened in Fall 2007, The proprietors are a husband and wife team, Fernando and Alejandra Retamales. Fernando spent the last two years hand-building the hotel from the ground up. We... More
