I spent an enjoyable night at Camp Duro, in a nice setting halfway up the volcano from Puerto Villamil, in the agricultural district of Isla Isabela (a $10 cab ride from town). So glad we stayed here. I was looking forward to tent camping my whole stay on the Galapagos and it didn't dissapoint. The food was very good, the service and staff were great. At first, we weren't sure whether tent camping in the Galapagos' transition zone would be our cup of tea. We're so glad we did it! Our stay would have been incomplete without it.
