fantastic place to stay, affordable, good social atmosphere, with food and bar..... the staff are so friendly and helpful, the private rooms in the back are very comfortable and clean, with a great garden setting, the music and social setting is also great....you won't be dissapointed.

Really enjoyed my time at El Cafecito. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, the rooms and showers are clean, the center café area is the perfect place to sit and have a drink and or a snack, and there is a lovely garden area in the back with hammocks and tables-a good place to enjoy tea or read a book.... we stayed there one night. it is a backpacker place, very noisy, the room with separate bathroom was basic and not very clean. we are sure, the sheets have not be changed before us, they were smelling like used. At the morning, we change and take an other hotel

If you have any problem, they won't help you!! I was part of this 24 people group who got stranded because they had "lost" our reservation... Fair enough "bad luck" happens, but you can't be arrogant in this case... Gotta at least offer some drinks for the time needed to find an other accommodation!! They have just ignored us and... More

Great experience at El Cafecito. Perfect location, friendly staff and a very welcoming and laid back vibe. Rooms are cozy and eclectic and doesn't have a very hostel like feel but is still awesome for travelers! Fun cafe in the courtyard with wifi, food and drinks, and sometimes music. Highly recommended.

We would stayed at the hostel this week, but when we arrived there in the afternoon, all rooms were fully booked, aswell our reserved one!! Not very surprisingly it was a holiday in Cuenca so probably they overbooked us for a higher price! There was nothing they could do but to offer the baggage depot. No drinks, no food, no... More

The rooms in this hostel are rather poor. The staff is very friendly and although there is no common kitchen or common area it was no problem to mix our sangria at the public café. Prices for food are pretty steep. The dorm rooms are surrounding the café and there is loud but good music playing until midnight or so.... More

Amazing place with a very nice staff. The music is amazing and gives a nice atmosphere to the place. There's a garden in the backyard with a place to make a fire. It's also a restaurant (too expensive) so people comes form other hostel and it is nice to meet people. 7,50 $ for a double room (matrimonial without private... More

While I paid a little more for my room here ($15 for a single) than I would normally pay at a similar quality hotel, the convenience, the location and all the extra attention the staff paid to me was worth it. It was really nice for me (a girl who travels alone and doesn't like to go out alone late... More

I spent few nights there and it was a very bad experience. My room was okay during the day but when the night comes the music from the night club just next door was unbearable!! It lasts until 6 am and every night ! The atmosphere of the hotel was cold and unfriendly. And the attached restaurant is very expensive... More
