This is a very fine hotel located in an old mansion with one of the nicest courtyards I have ever seen. The public rooms are exceptional; the guest rooms very nice; the staff is excellent and could not have been more helpful; and the restaurant has great food and service.

The location, mansion structure and decor are sufficient attractions, regardless of price ( which I don't know because they are hidden in a month long tour package. Our suite was magnificent. Antiquarian decor lavishly displayed and palatial. The restaurant is quite good and reasonably priced. The staff are pleasant and attentive. We had recently come from La Mirage Garden Hotel... More

Staying here gives you an opportunity to see what the great homes in this city were like - it is built around a beautiful courtyard and furnished with wonderful antiques. We stayed two nights here to give us an opportunity to explore Cuenca. The location is good - you can walk to really all areas of the old town. We... More

The Mansion has a great ambiance. I had made a reservation and told them it was my wedding anniversary, when we got there, our table was showered with rose petals and the staff all wished us the best. The food was very good and reasonably priced, they also have an excellent wine list.

Our room faced the inner courtyard with fountain and antiques. Very comfortable room and the ambience of the courtyard was amazing. Dining room had views to the garden and the food was excellent. The wine seemed a little expensive.

The Hotel This boutique hotel was once a mansion during the turn of the century, and was converted in to a luxury hotel. It is fabulously exquisite! The restoration... More

We stayed 3 nights in Mansion Alcazar, which is located in a traditional building in one of the main streets of Cuenca. The hotel is housed in an old colonial house in the centre of Cuenca. The location couldn't be better. There's also an amazing garden in the rear complete with humming birds.
