I chose this hotel for its soundproof rooms, which were excellent. It is a business hotel frequented by mostly Ecuadorians. The room was well equiped and the bathroom had amenities that one normally only can find in more expensive hotels. breakfast was excellent in variety and presentation. The staff was very pleasant and they offered readily options for tours and... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and the staff were very helpful and obliging when we needied directions or transportation to the various sites in Cuenca. This hotel is a $3 cab ride from the bus station/airport. It is close to everything that you might want to see in the colonial part of the city. There is a... More

Food is good, and they have restaurant service until late considering other places to eat at night on the location. My family spent good time.... More

I would love to give this hotel 4 stars, because the staff have all been extremely courteous and helpful. Despite the fact that most speak fluent English, they were patient enough to allow my attempt to communicate in Spanish. Unfortunately, there are 2 major issues with the hotel that must be taken into account by most travelers: 1. The mattress... More

Bad: Rooms are tiny, bad water pressure, noise from other rooms doors is loud, furniture is old and chipped, television is old and cable reception is terrible. Highly overpriced. Good: Clean, good service, nice restaurant, hi-speed internet access (but not very fast), no traffic noise, well located and secure. Warm water, climate control, clean towels/sheets. Better than 95% of hotels... More

I travel solo and I need to feel secure wherever I go. I prefer hotels with restaurants inside their premises, available staff in the event I need some help with mi baggage, shopping bags, getting a taxi, booking my next trip, finding a reliable tour guide and so forth and the Hotel El Conquistador offers that kind of service to...
