Stayed here January 9th to 12th, 2016. We arrived early in the morning from Quito so our room was not ready but the front desk staff were very accommodating in taking our bags and securing them until we could actually get into our room. The staff spoke good English and were very polite and friendly. The room when we did... More

Horrible facilities. The lobby, bar and restaurant area are ok, however as soon as you turn around the corner to take the lift upstairs you encounter dirty walls, a dirty elevator, poor taste in decoration, and oh the smell!!! The carpeted all around area smells, as soon as you get off the elevator the smell hits you, much worst inside... More

*Current building works for sept-jan 2015-16 mean that this hotel is noisy as hell * Wow, we shortened our stay due to the state of a.) the food and b.) the staff. The food is beyond tasteless and is just stodge. Key items are missing from breakfast, like a toaster or bread. The rooms are average and nothing to write... More

I went on a family vacation. The room was large, clean and with a very good view. The price was very affordable, and included a buffett breakfast with many different choices to satisfy every taste. The hotel is located in the center of the historic Cuenca, giving us the opportunity to just walk to the different chuches, parks, museums, teathers,... More

Booked this place in Cuenco for a triple private room. Genuinely a nice place in a good location in Cuenco. No thrills accomodation in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and was a good buffet, good coffee and eggs, that provided a nice fix for the day. Only disadvantages where there was some drilling and wires on the first second... More

Clean, quiet. Comfortable beds. Excellent location near downtown sites. Business atmosphere. (The hotel clientele appeared to be mainly South American businessmen.) Numerous good restaurants in the vicinity. Good breakfasts, geared towards Latin tastes. Front desk staff spoke good English and were very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well in the room. In sum, a good, basic hotel without frills or... More

I moved from another hotel in Cuenca into the conquistador. I wish I would have found this place first but I was traveling on a budget and 2 days was my limit here. We stayed for 2 nights on the fifth floor. The hotel is very nice, just as you would expect for that price. The location is also pretty convenient. However for this price I would expect them to have a parking spot somewhere. I had to pay parking per hour on the next block. Also the breakfast could be better. Watery... More
