The hotel is within a ten minute walk from the main square, in a quieter area in a quieter area so it, is very convenient . We had three rooms for a family with adult children and all of the rooms were very clean, the big, king sized beds comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was great. Our rooms were cleaned... More

We had a wonderful breakfast and were served with professional care. There is a bit of "old" Ecuador preserved in the traditions here and I find this very welcome. The living are lovely and the people who maintain them friendly and helpful. The desk is staffed and able to answer questions on directions, restaurants, shopping, etc. in English. Our room... More

I wanted to stay en the colonial city but didn't want to spend a fortune so i decided to try a room en the Casa de Las Rosas, where I had stayed before. The room was huge with large windows . The bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast en the morning was super delicious and i enjoyed conversing with my... More

A friend and I stayed in the phenomenal 2-room suite. It's gorgeous, well-appointed, you have your own patio, great showers with very hot water. Perfect. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't real coffee (only Nescafe). If they only invested in a coffee maker/espresso machine this place would be about perfect. It's far enough out of the... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in December 2014/January 2015. We initially had the Esmeralda room where the bathroom was connected to the same wall (with an open window) as the breakfast area. The door also had plexiglass so it was very noisy! In addition, one wall/window was connected to the cute outdoor area, which was also a smokers area,... More

Nice rooms with roses (of course), friendly staff, not too far to walk to Plaza de Armas. They offered us hot bottles to keep warm at night, which is really comfortable at this altitude. The breakfast is great for most people, but if you can't eat bread/gluten, there is only fruits and yoghurt (no eggs). But still, definitely a hotel... More

Casa de las Rosas is a lovely B&B in Cuenca. The ambience is beautiful, with a central, enclosed courtyard where breakfast is served. There are two living rooms where guests can chat with each other, and have coffee/tea/fruit/sweets at any time of day or night. The breakfast buffet was a nice spread, and we were offered eggs made to order... More

We very much enjoyed our stay in this small boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room (the appartment) and bathrooms were spacious, very clean and nicely decorated (thanks again for the fresh roses !). Breakfast was indeed excellent as previous reviews had indicated. The old city (at walking distance) is certainly worth a visit (1/2 to 1... More

My wife and I visited Cuenca in June 2014 and had a fantastic 4-night stay at Casa de las Rosas. We were warmly greeted by Cristian on the evening of our arrival and stayed in a very spacious and comfortable room. We are early risers and were happy to see the breakfast buffet ready for use by 6:30am each morning.... More

My sister niece and I stayed at Casa de las Rosas in July 2013. We had a lovely stay. The room was simple, but comfortable with some nice touches: rose petals on the bed when we arrived, hot water bottles provided each night. Our room had a king-sized bed and a twin, so we had plenty of room for the... More
