My sister niece and I stayed at Casa de las Rosas in July 2013. We had a lovely stay. The room was simple, but comfortable with some nice touches: rose petals on the bed when we arrived, hot water bottles provided each night. Our room had a king-sized bed and a twin, so we had plenty of room for the... More

I was a bit disappointed when we arrived at Casa de las Rosas from the airport. I selected this hotel based on Trip Advisor's reviews and ranking. The location of the hotel is not optimal, it is located in a busy commercial area and 6-10 blocks from the historic area. The accommodations were very basic but comfortable for a one... More

We booked a double room for 9 nights. We were shown a room that was larger than a double with a kitchenette. After 6 nights, upon returning from dinner, the lobby was full of people and bags. We were told in front of everyone that we needed to pack our bags and move to another room immediately because these peole... More

Don't know how things become top rated in Cuenca (andI haven't stayed elsewhere her) but Las Rosas is a very comfortable and hospitable quite small hotel that is reasonably priced. At a (walkable) distance from the main historical attractions & better eateries, rooms are big and cheerful and breakfast is well done. Place is well kept and staff are young... More

Stayed for 10 nights and felt like it was home away from home. All the staff were helpful and genuine. Thank you so much Fernanda, Sonja, Diego, Flabio and Lucia (forgive my spelling). They will give you any help you need. Calle Largo has a lot of museums and cafes and runs beside the Tomebamba river. Great area to walk.... More

Just a 5 minutes walk away from the central bus station 'Casa de las Rosas' is a peacful haven after sightseeing and shopping in Cuenca. Lucia the owner comes originally from Italy and you can see that in every little beautiful detail of the hotel. Everything fits perfectly together and charms you as soon as you enter the hotel. We spent three nights at the hotel. We got the room Esmeralda which is perfect for a couple. Lucia and her team were from the beginning very friendly, helpful and always intended to make the stay comfortable and nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom -also very clean - was even big enough for two people to... More

As one of two couples traveling together, we stayed in the Tejado (roof top) suite and the Amarillo (yellow) room. From our early arrival onward, Luciana and her staff warmly welcomed us and treated us as family. They provided bountiful breakfasts, quick and inexpensive laundry service, hot water bottles in the evening, honest and helpful restaurant suggestions, and even made... More

We loved our stay in la Casa de las Rosas, the owner Lucia (Italian), is a very warm hostess. The house has been nicely adapted and decorated, she has an excellent taste. It has several resting/reading areas, very comfortable and bright. Is a place that can make you feel like home. The buffet breakfast in the morning was nicely presented,... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. It is a small boutique hotel with a B+B atmosphere. I believe there are only 12 rooms. It has a small sitting room that serves as a lobby where tea and fruit are available all day. The room we stayed in was of comfortable size, clean with a comfortable bed. it... More
