Nice room with very comfortable bed. Bathroom was dated, however shower pressure was excellent and very hot. The service we received from staff was friendly and helpful, including carrying our bags, ordering taxis etc. We were only there for one night but it appeared to be a good area with lots of restaurants etc. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruit,... I got into Cuenca at 2:00 in the morning, an early bus trip from Guayaquil. I had reservations for the next two nights but didn't for that night. I rang the bell and the front desk guy came and welcomed me with a smile and yes, they had an open room for me. It's a nice hotel for Ecuador. I... More

Very big and comfortable room, great location and friendly, professional service. Only complaint is that it was very noisy on the 1st floor as you could hear bottles being sorted/chucked in the bar downstairs late at night and the cash register/phones etc on the front desk early in the morning. But great overall.

We chose this hotel because it was in center of town. It was clean and simple. Overall service was good and friendly. Breakfast was included daily in adjoining restaurant. Had issue with showers several times with leaks and non-working shower head, reported it twice but was not fixed.

On my recent trip to Ecuador, while in Salinas I became quite ill with a parasite and hepatitis A. The weather on the coast was hot, humid and oppressive, so they moved me to a small boutique hotel in Cuenca Ecuador, where I convalesced. David and Andreas, the two brothers who run the hotel with their father, were nothing short... More

Stayed 3 nights and was very pleased. Hotel seems to be a bit outdated but was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Biggest drawback is that there is no elevator. Most times this wouldn't be a big deal for me since there are only 3 floors but on this occasion I was suffering from altitude sickness.

We arrived at 9:30 PM from Quito tired and very hungry so happy to learn that the restaurant is open! I forget what I ate but do remember a delicious and perfectly executed Pisco Sour. We had booked for 10 days and were given an enormous, very attractive suite facing the street. We found that to be too noisy for... More

This place is a huge house converted in a hotel. The results are great to the eyes, but unfortunetely, walls are thin as paper. We could hear everything that was going on in the other rooms...and I mean EVERYTHING! Also, even if our room was on the third floor, we could hear the front desk phone ringing loudly at every...
