Hotel Crespo is in a great location to enjoy the beautiful city of Cuenca. Positives: the hotel is a converted old mansion so the rooms are varied and unique. Many of the rooms have a terrific view of the river and beyond. There are some fantastic restaurants within a few blocks and it's very near the main historical sites of... More

This elegant hotel is an excellent choice for Cuenca. Perfectly situated, only a few blocks from the Cathedrals, cozy and with a sense of "belle epoque", sometimes not unlike a labyrinth, with staircases coming up and down (no elevators, by the way, and a lot of steps to climb). Rooms are comfortable and clean (not large). Very good WiFi in... More

Generally speaking our experience was good at this hotel. The room we had 203 was spacious, but the two chairs were not very comfortable. Room 307, which our daughter and family occupied, had great views, and was comfortable. All the normal facilities were provided, and the service generally good.Secure parking was available on request. Wi-fi connection was variable. The breakfast... More

The hotel has quite a lot of charm due to its old fashion decor and location that could make it a really nice place to expend a few days in Cuenca. However, the staff, and maintenance, seems to do their best efford to leave little traps around you to screw your stay. For example in the 3 nights i was... More

This hotel is beautiful (and for sure used to be even better) and has a great location along the riverside. Beds are comfortable, rooms well sized, staff friendly, and breakfast great. On the downside the air in the room was not really fresh, but opening the windows solved that. Not that you need to walk in stairs to access the... More

Lovely hotel with very large spacious room, very clean. We had a very nice look out onto steps and the river. Nicely appointed, excellent breakfast and interesting artwork on the walls. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Centrally located on Calle Largo. One recommendation is to upgrade the bed. Maybe just in our room, but was a bit saggy. Good... More

I so enjoyed staying here. Our room was on the river side, so we had that wonderful sound of water over rocks all the time. Super relaxing. The staff is wonderful, but professional. The restaurant is very nice and the seafood great. If possible, have Angel as your waiter. The hotel itself is full on art and history. The art... More

The hotel is well located, in the centre of Cuenca and on the Street famous for the night life (calle larga). The view on the river is special and the rooms are big and comfortable. The hotel is in colonial style, clean and the staff is friendly. The only aspect that has to be improved is the breakfast, it is... More

I spent one night in this old traditional hotel - location is great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. There is no lift but the staff helped me out with my luggage. The problem is that most rooms are internal, ie windows are on an internal court which is the main lobby and there were people chatting and screaming ALL... More

I stayed at the Hotel Crespo this week for work. It's a nice, quirky hotel, and was very clean. The manager and many of the front desk people were very nice. The hotel is close to the Rio Tomebamba and la Universidad de Cuenca, as well as to the town square, so we had no issues walking places. Some tips:... More
