As I read the other reviews of this hotel, I was glad my first night was quiet quiet. The second night was eitherway like hell. At 5 o'clock in the morning they started playing choir music at the reception/breakfast buffet (i don't know why??) and a lot of tourists had to leave with all the noise they had. I don't... More

The Inca Real is in the center of the city. I found it to be an excellent location. Although it is somewhat old, I found it to be quaint and interesting, especially the courtyard in the middle of the building. It was clean and the breakfast was good. My room, a double, was large and the bathroom was also good... More

If in Ecuador DO NOT miss Cuenca. What a Paris or Madrid like city. Stay in the Hotel Inca Real. Very Spanish architecture. Terrific location near the central square. Only thing is that the breakfast has fewer items. That may be better and discourages overeating.

Hotel Inca Real is one of the worst places I have stayed at on a vacation. The neighborhood is bad , the noise inside the hotel keeps you awake, some of the fixtures are broken and most of the people running the place don't know what their doing and don't care. My advice is to pay more and go somewhere... More

This is the second time we have stayed here mainly because it is in a good location for walking to restaurants and sights. The breakfast buffet with omelet bar was a nice improvement. The rooms were pretty clean but tired looking and could use some color and updating. The mattresses were comfortable and we had good hot water for the... More

Overall a really pretty looking hotel in typical colonial style with rooms built around two internal courtyards. We were assigned room B-1 on arrival - don't stay in this room! Right by reception and VERY noisy. The restaurant is right outside in the courtyard plus we had to put up with the kitchen noises til about 1130pm. What also doesn't... More

The photos on the web are good, but the Hotel Inca Real has such beauty at every turn it would be hard to capture it in a photograph. The three historic buildings artfully joined are a study of serenity. With spacious rooms looking out onto interior courtyards, there is no mistaking you are in the heart of Ecuador. Use one... More

I've lived in Cuenca for the last 4 months. My internet has been out at my condo for two weeks and I really needed to connect so I searched for a cheap place just for wi-fi. I found the Inca Real single bed for $35 a night (Sun-Mon). Wi-fi worked perfect from my room. This is a very old home... More

The charm of Inca Real lies in it's stellar location in the old Cuenca town and the maintenance of this old house's structure and courtyards. In order to enjoy these, I had cracks in the walls of the room, a dimly lit room, extraordinarily creaky floors, mold-edged and tiny bathroom, a sink too small to work with (I had to... More

Excellent location, 2 blocks from Parque Calderon. Great breakfast buffet. Rooms are fine, but little protection for other guests' noise. Picturesque hotel with three interior courtyard. Do not, however, ask them to arrange transportation to or from the airport. Regular taxi rate is $2.50 to $3 (always ask before you get into taxi!); they charged us $10 from airport; we... More
