I had no prior booking when I arrived to the hostel, but was lucky to find a room that opens directly on the main square in front of the hostel and looking out to the piazza and the church. great central location that was close to restaurants, markets, and many sightseeing places. Double luck to be at a time when... More

We can't see why this has such high ratings. The good thing is that it is very central and the room we had you could stand on a narrow balcony overlooking the square. We were the only guests and we booked for 2 nights based on the reviews here. Breakfast was a waste of time - coffee (just about ok),... More

We had booked a night at a hostel around the corner, but when they failed to show, we were desperate to find another place for one night. I wandered in the lobby. The gentleman doesn't speak any English, but with my Spanish, we worked it out. As it turned out, it was a blessing in disguise. The room was less... More

Loved staying here. The location is wonderful for being able to access all places. The taxi cab fare was only $2.00 and all you need to do is step out and raise your hand and a cab will stop. Love it!

Good location, close to Parque Calderon, the room was big and comfortable, but a little noisy. You receive a bottle water per day. The breakfast could be better, staff helpful, and the wifi was unstable.

There are about 8-10 rooms around a central courtyard in this very old building, located only a few blocks from the main cathedral and square in the Old Colonial section of town. The furniture, plants, etc. make this place look charming. But because everything is old, the floors squeak, the furniture squeaks, and lots of noise comes in from the... More

Everything was acceptable and the staff was friendly. The room with the balcony and loft was charming and reasonably clean. The only issue was that our mold allergies hit us. So, like most of the hostels we stayed in while in Ecuador, there are probably some moisture problems with the drains or water pipes.

We moved to this place after seeing the state of the one we had previously booked. Loved it on first sight - bright, cheerful, lovely man on reception (no English, but he was very eager to please). He showed us room after room until he was sure we had the right one. Great size, lovely balcony that overlooks the plaza... More
