This is a very nice Hostel in Cuenca. Clean, well located, beautiful and charming. Rooms are big. Bathroom small but all handy, with a good shower. Breakfast simple but good. Staff very helpful. I would stay there again without doubt.

Spotlessly clean, English speaking, warm, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful plants and fresh flowers throughout, gorgeous murals on the walls, wonderful breakfast, great shower, nice location. What else can I say? Oh, complimentary coffee and tea all day into the evening. We loved that. Our hotel of choice now for trips to Cuenca.

my parents and I stayed two nights hers and we really loved it. The hotel decor is very tasteful, rooms are clean and also nice decorated. Showers are the best, probably the best in whole Ecuador, always hot water and nice pressure. Breakfast are well thought out, fresh and delicious, especially the Cuenca bread. Besides, the customer service is the... More

I will definitely stay here when I return to Cuenca and I highly recommend it. It is a very beautiful place and it is very clean. The staff was tremendously helpful and very kind. I was really impressed by just how accommodating they were. The location is ideal for sightseeing. The only problem I had was that I could hear... More

I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Cuenca! This historic building is simply beautiful--restored with such care. Although it maintains its historic charm, it has the amenities you would expect--reliable internet and modern bathrooms with spacious showers. We were immediately struck with how clean every inch of this hotel is. Almost as important, the staff was very helpful. You could... More

Very clean and the smiling staff are incredibly helpful. They serve a full, cooked to order breakfast, and coffee/tea are always available in the lobby. We spent a week here and even during pre-carnival activities, the room was pretty quiet. Definitely recommend!

Spent 2 nights here, with my elderly parents, and we enjoyed our stay. The Colonial home has been lovingly restored, with a real attention to detail, and the staff are very welcoming and obliging. The location - a couple of blocks from the main square - means that one can easily walk to all the attractions and eateries. As some... More

My husband and I spent 11 nights in Cuenca at Casa San Rafael and we absolutely loved it and all of its charm! The owner, Maria Eugenia and her husband Rafael along with their daughters and staff are lovely, welcoming and warm people. Breakfast was delicious and included in the cost. Service was impeccable. Our room had a small balcony... More

I loved Casa San Rafael. The staff was curious, friendly, and very helpful. I still miss the breakfasts I was served every morning, they were an added bonus for getting up. The hotel is very clean and charming. It is in an optimal location. I plan on returning!!
