we arrived to the hotel late in the evening without having a reservation and found an amazing staff that really helped us a lot during our 3 nights stay.. Wifi in the room, cable tv, good breakfast, hot hot shower, clean, comfortable- and all in a very affordable price. I really recommend this hotel which is also located perfectly just... More

So much noise from the streets I want to sleep in between the mattresses. These Taxis have no respect for hotels or the country in that respect. Worst part about this place so far and some drunk singing for an hour. I can hear a few cars without mufflers sounds like a Harley Davidson. I am online now at 330am... More

The location right in the heart of Cuenca is amazing- only a couple of blocks from the main plaza and near a good many resaurants and all the interesting site. The hotel was one of the nicer ones we stayed in having mostly stayed in hostels up to this point. The rooms were very comfy and spacious, although the WIFI... More

Located only a block from the main plaza, we actually stayed here twice for a total of 5 nights. We only planned to visit once and stay 3 nights, but had such a great time in Cuenca we dragged our friends back a few weeks later for a quick trip and they loved it! The front staff is very helpful,... More

We stayed here for tow nights and LOVED it. We were also traveling by motorcycle and they let us park the bikes in a side room off the lobby. The price is right, clean rooms, and excellent location close to the city centro. There isn't an elevator so if you cant do stairs make sure to tell them before booking.

We stayed at the Hotel Rio Piedra June 26th - 28th (2013). I was travelling with my husband and our 28 year old son. They provided a nice large room for us with 3 beds. We stayed on the 5th floor, and there's no elevator. This is by no means a complaint. The hotel is in an old building and... More

I stayed here for three nights and was pleasantly surprised. Clean room, good value and wonderful staff. They arranged for me to visit nearby Bullcay. Very helpful. Plus, the location couldn't be beat. They only negative was the music they played in the evening.

Big clean rooms. Mine included 2 beds, writing desk, two armchairs, kitchenette with stove, fridge, and microwave. Very comfortable beds. Big clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water. They clean rooms and change towels every day. TV with English channels. EXCELLENT location, just a few steps from the central square and cathedrals. Many restaurants around, Safe. There is a night... I live in Ecuador, stayed at another hostal for 3 nights on my trip to Cuenca, then stayed at this hotel on my way back. This was the much better choice for me. It is in the newer section of Cuenca and the room had everything I needed. With back issues, it's a struggle to find a comfortable bed, but... More
