Casa del Aguila is a lovely hotel in downtown Cuenca. We enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is in an old house with an inner courtyard, with beautiful plants and lots of light. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms spacious with amazing showers, and chocolate/coffee scented soaps. The service is excellent. Very helpful lobby people, they had excellent... More

We stayed in this hotel for some days and it was always a pleasure to be there. The rooms and the hotel is very clean, I've never seen in a hotel of this class that the personal was cleaning everything (including all the hidden areas, e.g. between the guardrails). Breakfast will be offered as buffet and you get every days... More

Casa del Aguila is located a few blocks west of the new Cathedral, an easy 5 minute walk. If you're coming from the airport, it is a $2-$3 taxi ride to the hotel. The hotel is located on Mariscal Sucre street which is a one way going east street, so instruct the taxi driver to go west to Esteves de... More

This is a beautiful small little hotel located in a nice street five blocks away from the center of town. It is housed in a 200 year old mansion and most of the rooms are facing an inner courtyard. The rooms are small but clean and beautifully appointed. There are many common areas, sitting rooms, patios and the courtyard with... More

This has to be one of the best deals going in Quenca. The hotel is in a beautifully restored colonial mansion, kept immaculately clean by an invariably friendly staff, located just a few minutes walk from the main square and most other attractions. The rooms are somewhat small, but they are comfortably and tastefully appointed, and there's always ample hot... More

Beautiful hotel, very relaxing and peaceful. Good location, friendly service and quiet rooms (and amazing chocolate shampoo & conditioner!). The only single thing I would say that lets it down is the breakfast - nothing very exciting, hot food not very fresh, hot water for tea ran out a couple of times. Having said that, everything else about the hotel... More

My wife and I stayed at this charming boutique hotel over a month ago, and I daydream of coming back. The conversion from an older mansion to hotel is exquisitely done, with numerous old artifacts on display. The desk staff is helpful for everything from advice on sightseeing to phoning for a taxi, and the kitchen-breakfast attendants are prompt and... More

Friendly and very helpful staff, nicely renovated old town house right in the center of Cuenca. Also the breakfast offers a small selection of good food. Definitely a good recommendation if you are planning a trip to this city.

Very friendly and helpful staff throughout. There are large sitting rooms with comfortable sofas, writing desks, outdoor patios and other areas to enjoy outside of your room. Showers are big, modern and hot. Antique wood, beautiful tile and exposed wooen beams heighten the experience of the hotel. Guest comfort seems more important than monetizing every available space. This is a... More
